All spending at Amylin has been wasteful. Especially all the money flushed down the toilet on salaries and perks of executives who screwed this pooch but good. No department even comes close.
Sales ops does a good job of pissing away money on vendors. A quick overview DRS-the sample receipt vendor continually sends out more labels, forms and envelopes than any 1 rep could ever possibly use STEM market research-wonder how much that cost? The Peer Group-biggest waste of money ever. All this wasteful spending on changing the conference call provider, really? The All Amylin All in trinkets mailed to the entire sales force in Jan.
That's easy. SALES. They get paid to whine on Cafepharma all day long. Imagine all the wasted money spent on salaries.
Good point, get rid of sales. You and the other VP's can waddle around the home office and dream about having people beneath you to enlighten.
Wasteful spending has never been limited to sales only...wasteful on many many levels..travel perks..expensive real estate in the Golden Triangle...expensive parties over the years...company provided cell phones for many levels right down to admins....expensive relocation packages....The little biotech who could had some mighty--expensive tastes - champagne and caviar tastes when maybe it would have been more prudent to buy beer and pork rinds.
Well Danny boy will be able to buy every pig in the world for those pork rinds as of August 7th!!!!! He is banking an estimated $50 million and that doesn't even touch what he has already made. Sales reps got 250 RSU's for Bydureon.....Danny boy got over 1 million RSU's. He has been a hideous leader and grossly overpaid for his tenure at Amylin.
