seasoned hem onc pharma rep here, constantly getting calls from head hunters about positions in this space, but every posting here and on other sites screams run! Is there any company in Dx getting it right or are they all crap? Companion Dx seems to be the up and coming technology so what gives? Who has patents, FDA approved tests? I can't sell ice to an eskimo or buy them an EMR....so who should I be blowing off and who should I be interviewing with? They all seem desperate for reps with hem onc experience....but don't want to pay oncology bases....

op here so what's the deal, who's the dipshit, you got a product to sell in this space or not? or is it just best BS'ers/relationship sellers and hustle your ass off here? honest question ie different selling model/path to success or is it all the same? In pharma it pays to work smart not hard to be successful, but our dumb ass leadership at the top doesn't get that so wse are all looking.

and apparently there is a lot of turnover in Dx, hematology/oncology pharma reps constantly getting calls, just hoping to get an honest assessment of your industry v mine and whether it's worth a look

Come here if you're tired of poor leadership. Genoptix's leadership will make you re-evaluate what you've been doing your entire career. Through my own experience, I have never witnessed or been a part of anything like this in my entire career and hope to never be again. It's not a good place. As a matter of fact it's quite sad and alarming to see what goes on here. I am shocked that Novartis purchased this place when I hear and see all the internal nightmares occurring on a daily basis. I am sure that a majority of the field feels the same way.

RS is a great leader. He won President's Club for himself and DK.

If youre looking for career advice on CP than dipshit is an understatement. Heres the reality- Dx is a churn and burn industry and its like that with almost every small lab, if you cant get the job done theyll find someone else who can. If you can handle the constant pressure to perform you can make good money, but the tenure around here for reps is less than 2 years. Happy hunting!

I agree with 2 previous posts. This is a short term job. no stability, poor management... and No unique testing here.

Stay in the catering business dipshit. No pharm reps can make it here. No company wants to match your base because your are over paid and worthless. Docs can look the PI up on line, they dont need you to read it to them. No company hires pharm reps, spoiled little people.

What pompous douche! Docs can't look up testing online? You don't think half the people here are over paid? You're a rep/caterer too. It amazes me that you people think your better than others. I've run the gamut in medical sales and Dx is not that much different than pharma. It's a service industry. Don't kid yourself because we will be pharma very soon.
