Saw a opening for pittsburgh in this division. Trying to figure out if I should apply. What is the manager like? What is pay like? How are the quotas? What are the main products sold?

Don't do it, the main product is Trach Care which has been around for since 1982 and KC has a 97% market share. We have had no new products in five years and the managers are all over everybody's ass to sale products which the market will not buy. Look somewhere else for a more innovative company which has a vision for the future.

Exactly right. All the visionaries are gone.

who is the main competitor for these trach products? is KC losing lot of business in this area? Does KC have contracts with all the big hospitals in this area?

Look you r*****, Trach Care has no competitor and all of the national groups. There is no new business to be had and you only get paid on growth. Sounds like you need to seek a job at Dunkin Doughnut!

The only Carefusion in probably in your territory, you seem bloviate too much. Ok, so our market share has gone from 97% to 96.91% and if the chinese version (Patsch) gets here you will know a competitor.

The hospitals have rejected with a few exception the MAP catheter, 13 fr. Bal Cath and Microcuff. Although we have a Premier contract, SAGE has maintained a 90% share in Oral Care. The idiots in national accounts lost the Med Asset agreement and did not respond to a RFP from HCA. No new products, only line extentsion in the past five years. This is a dying medical device company.

why does sage still have 90% market share? Is it becuase their cheaper? In this job do you only call on purchasing and nurses or do you actually spend time with doctors? It seems these are not products doctors would even care about.

The have developed a loyal following. Even if KC is cheaper, they prefer the SAGE line as it is more complete. Purchasing will love you but nurses are not to ready to switch from SAGE. Doctor's don't give a rats ass! If you think you will make money on oral care, think again.

Im not trying to be obsinate...but I dont believe those stats are accurate. Sure, we are still the market leader, and in my opinion the best product out there....but...you said there was no other competition? Carefusion, Smith's and now a huge one from Medline and the Chinese now too...we only have one way to go & thats down...we have had an advantage that is now over with the patent expired. We make a damn good product but hospitals want anything that works for less now. Except, of course, our oral care product! If upper management would only make some small changes to it...we could rock Sage's boat in a major way...and Im hoping with our new management...they will listen to reason.

still a bit confused. Who do you call on? Is it only purchasing and nurses. It seems that none of your products, oral care or trach care that doctors would actually care about. Is that true?

you call on nurse managers, infection control, purchasing for oral care. you will call on docs for et tubes and bal cath. respiratory is also involved.

You are so stupid and have not researched the company or product lines. Try McDonald's they sell hamburgers, fries, shakes, etc and you will look good in that silly little hat they wear.

Listen to the big, tough guy spouting out behind a keyboard. You dam sure wouldn't have the guts to say anything like that to anybody's face. You must be trying to make up for some kind of personal of physical shortcomings. I would guess physical. (Height and/or length. Probably both)

Medline is a huge competitor on both the Trach, VAP and Oral Care. Sage will start to lose a lot of business as well as KC.
