I am investigating companies and looking at all sources, including this website. I am interested in hearing how Roche sales employees view their company and the best areas to be in as a sales rep. Thank you for your input.

There is a commitment to make sure that high performers are amoung the best paid sales professionals in the industry. Our benefits package far exceeds that available at competing firms. DM are evaluated on how they develop their people - if we're learning new skills and succeeding they make more money. Most DMs will help you finish an MBA with full company support. Our car program is fantastic great selection - and I bot the last one when it hit 50K miles and sold on the side to make extra income. The stock options make it so I can retire in about 8 years. This is the best ever. [IMG]

You obviously don't work for Roche. First, there are NO stock options - at least not for the peons. Secondly, the car selections SUCK! And while there are a few good DMs, there are manyh more hard-drinking, micro-managers that will make your life hell! Watch out.

  4. Roche, without doubt, is the best organization I have ever been a part of. It is a very large organzation with a small company feel. I've spent 6 very happy years here, and am very sorry to see my time end. The Nutley facility is closing, and while this might cause anger in some, I understand it is a business decision. The Nutley site had such a great working culture. The company has changed a lot since the purchase of Genentech, and working with the Genentech people is not fun. A more arrogant buch of people I've never met. Time to move on to bigger and better things.

My oh my, how can you call the DNA warriors arrogant? I personally find that being around a bunch of people who think they are the greatest thing since shirt pockets is refreshing. Just think of the profit you could make if you bought all the GNE folks for what they are worth and then sold them for what they think they are worth.

It changes along with the CEO about every three years. Presently we have "The Culture of Accountability." This works well for some, especially self-promoters, since accountability and honesty are not the same thing.
