CBL just sucks. they dont have any original ideas. First they copied dianon, then Plus and Bostwick, now clarient and US LABS. Sonic is in for a rude awakening. They only paid 122 million for a lab that owes 122 million to investors etc. They should have let them sink. At least four other companies looked at CBL and ran ran ran raaaannn!!! They spent tons of $$$ to buy aperio instruments and the Hospital Pathologists are just laughing at them. I also hear this new LIS integration with local Pathology Labs is all smoke and mirrors. I hope sonic closes them down
Yeah, the Aperio deal was forced by the original investors ...same for CBL and Aperio. They committed 1.5 mill, but only took like three scanners. Meanwhile aperio paid the rep on the entire deal and told Wall Street they got a 1.5 mill deal.. If they were public aperio and CBL would have been shut down by the FTC. Now CBL only got two or three sucker hospitals in CT and Westchester to attempt to partner with them. They actually believed they were going to take all of US LABS and Clarients Tech only business. Now with Urovysion reimbursement being cut in half CBL is going to loose more money! With the Clarient GE combo all these little labs, Plus, CBL, Pathline, Bostwick will be dead..oh and NEO HAHAHAHHAHA GOOD BYE!! At least US LABS and Genzyme have a fighting chance.
