MDL's NO COMP PLAN - WHAT A JOKE!

    I had to post this again because this comp plan is such a JOKE! Poor Sales Reps who get suckered into this "plan"!

    You will not make any commission.
    Here's the "RULE of 78" Sales disincentive plan they use.

    These numbers never change or are adjusted. Here are the goals for new SSE's for year 1. If you fall short by 1 specimen for the month/quarter your bonus is cut in HALF. (PS-You only get 100% commission IF you are at 100% specimen performance AND your specimen $$$ amounts hit a target number for your region. If you get 50 specimens in Month 1 but only make $50.00 per test, you're below the per specimen revenue requirement (Let say it's $120) so you won't get 100% Bonus.

    EXAMPLE:
    If you get 40 Specimens in month 1 you're 10 specimens behind and they will be added to the next month. So to get to 100% in Month 2 you would need to get the 10 specimens you were behind from the 1st Month, Plus the required 100 for Month 2.

    If you get 70 specimens in Month 2, you're now behind 40 Specimens for Month 3 and need to get the 10 Specimens from Month 1, the 30 Specimens from Month 2, Plus the required 150 for Month 3.

    If you get 299 specimens at the end of the 1st Quarter, You get 50% bonus payout because you didn't get 300. (Assuming you per specimen revenue requirement.)

    Here are the goals for Year 1:

    Month 1: 50 Specimens
    Month 2: 100
    Month 3: 150
    QUARTER 1 GOAL: 300 Specimens
    Month 4: 200
    Month 5: 250
    Month 6: 300
    QUARTER 2 GOAL: 750 Specimens
    Month 7: 350
    Month 8: 400
    Month 9: 450
    QUARTER 3 GOAL: 1200 Specimens
    Month 10: 500
    Month 11: 550
    Month 12: 600
    QUARTER 4 GOAL: 1650 Specimens

    omg..........only val could come up with something like that. EVERYTHING is about punishment.........little reward. Val puts things in opposition to each other. Val says look, but don't touch. Touch, but don't taste. Taste, but don't swallow. How does Dr. M put up with this? He could tell himself that 2013 will be a building year. FIRE Val and hire somebody from the outside. M tells this person to work on relationship building with all the reps..........group cohesion. FIRE the 2 reg mgrs.......after you do a random drug/alcohol test. His business for 2013 might be in autopilot, but his business for every year after 2013 will be successful. Operating a company from a point of fear and intimidation is no way to run a business. Why hasn't someone sued mdl yet? Does anyone know of any past lawsuits? Has anyone considered reporting them to the government?

    Just an FYI, we went from another NSD who was just like VT to one who was great with people, sales, motivational (and sales actually grew and people actually made money and loved working here) then Dr M decided to put VT into the spot, so I wouldn't hold my breath for a change back. Dr M is full aware of who and what VT is, he's not so in the dark as people think. He has no regard for us and made that clear when he blew up on us for a posting here on CP, told us from now on we're all just numbers. The sad fact is, i think we always were.

    She acts like one of those politicians who sit around and think up different ways to institute new taxes and regulation.

    I can't stand the though of knowing I'm breathing the same air as her. I don't know of any or even heard of anyone who has created more enemies. She DOESN'T know what she is doing!!!!

    Interview Friday and with God's help I'll be out of this hell-hole before Christmas.

    Of course there are not many males in the sales force! It mirrors the lineup of goons they have for "managers". Look, I don't have a lean towards men or women, but I question any organization that has only female managers. I'd question any org that employs only male managers. But let's take a look at this...bunch of women who are led by a male "leader" who seemingly has no idea how to build a team or a sales force. This company doesn't need dozens of PhDs - they need someone with an MBA.
