Welcome to Pick 'Em's 1st Annual 'SILVER CROWN AFFAIR'

Welcome, my friends.

I will be you announcer at the 1st Annual 'Silver Crown Affair'. This is a premier event for sportfans from coast to coast to honor our 1st Silver Queen award winner.

First, we apologize for the late start tonight. The catering boys got into the liquor cabinet and were running around the auditorium half-naked. Security had to be called in to quell the disturbance. No shots fired though. Somebody is making a second run to replenish the booze. I think it's under control now so we'll proceed.

Scanning over the crowd I see some celebrities milling around. Over to the right of the stage I see BamaBoy with babybama. Looks like he's doing a diaper change. Gawd almighty. I can smell it all the way over here. I'll see if we can get security to persuade him to finish the job in the restroom.

Oh, and I see Pale Horse over by the entrance smoking a Camel with a bottle of Blue Moon in his hand. I think he's a close friend of the Queen's and will most likely be in her entourage after the show working the groupie detail.

Whoa! There's NTL over in the corner munching on the hor D'Oeuvres. Good Christ! He's picked up an entire serving plate of jumbo Louisiana Shrimp and is eating them three at a time. heh. Funny shit.

Oh, White Trash is walking by. Let me see if I can get a few words from him. "Yo, White Trash, I see you placed 4th in the Pick 'Em race. To what to you attribute your final surge in the face to finish in the top 4?" ...... "Sorry dude. The show's about to start and I gotta take a piss real real bad. Could you catch me after it's over? All I can say is that BamaBoy and Pale are fit to be tied. Neither of them will even talk to me. heh-heh. Fuck 'em both."

Oh look. There's Tinkrbelle. She just entered the auditorium in a white dress wearing golden slippers and a white crown. "Excuse me, Tink. What's up with the crown? We thought you came in 2nd?" ...... "Crown, what crown? Oh this one??? Oh heck, I wear a crown almost everywhere I go. It's become a habit over the years. I hope it doesn't become a distraction. If it does I'll just take it off. I really didn't think anyone would notice."

Damn, there's Breaking News with 2 gorgeous blondes hanging all over him. He's wearing a zuit suit. "Excuse me, Mr. Breaking News, may I interrupt? We noticed that you dropped out of the race. Was it due to an injury?" ...... "Waz up, man? I'z got buziness to take care of other than twotting at the twack. My health is par excellant and if my ladies will cut me loose for a stint I'll be at da twack for the "No-Spread Bonanza Bowl". We'll play it by ear as the crow flies. If I come I'll bring my main man NTL with me."

Well, Hail to the Queen is beginning to play in the background so it appears that Queen Fucktard will be making an appearance shortly.

Oh! There she is coming out from behind the curtain in a bright pink evening gown with tail. The crowd just let out a gasp! Pale Horse is lifting her tail from behind. BamaBoy is the Master of Ceremonies and has invited Queen Fuckie to the microphone.

"Queen Fuckie, you've had an amazing run. We know it wasn't easy. What do you consider your most difficult challenge of becoming our first Silver Queen of NCAA Pick 'Em?"

"Oh, without a doubt it was that fucking BroncoBastard. Several times the asshole tried to shake me down and pull the rug out from under me. But I beat that prick anyway. He must be seething in anger to see me on stage tonight. Yo, BroncoScum.....I made it in spite of you, you low-life underhanded shithead. Take that, Buckwheat!!! (middle finger raised)"

"Ok, ok, Queen. We know you fought hard. We congratulate your victory. Now let me place this lovely Silver Crown upon your head. (Crowd gasps!). (Big-ass smile on Queen Fucktard's face).

Now, Lovely Queen Fucktard....please take your victory walk down the auditorium aisle. (Bronco's standing over by the open bar with smirk on his face ear to ear)

Cue the music.....(Special note: The chorus to the following Queen's Anthem should be in 1st person singular "I" instead of 1st person plural "we". However, the verses of the Anthem are in perfect grammar.

"Ok, Queen Fuckard.....begin your victory walk......." (flash bulbs begin popping. The crowd cheers!)

Runner up Tinkrbelle - didn't you read about the sequel events?

Now we play for the GOLD CROWN (the ultimate prize) which is the COMBINED SCORES of the Regular season and Bowl season. The GOLD CROWN trumps the SILVER CROWN.

And as a consolation prize there is a BRONZE CROWN for the player who wins the 'No-Spread Bonanza Bowl'. Theoretically the same person could win the GOLD, SILVER and BRONZE CROWNS. If that happens we all have to bend over and kiss her ass. So let's make sure that someone other that Queen Fucktard wins the 'No-Spread' bowl competition, ok?

I know that you're not an active player, Libluv. But, please, out of respect, address her majesty with the correct title of "Queen Fuckie" for the next week until Dec 9 if you don't mind. Had you been an active player that would have been a .5% deduction off your "No-Spead" bowl game score, just so you know.

Yes, there is honor amongst thieves on the CP Pick 'Em board. We do have our own code of moral conduct, believe it or not.

Oh, btw, I would like a democratic vote from the active players on this matter. The question is:

Should we address The Queen by her proper title for just a week (until Dec 9) or should it continue all the way up until our new King or Queen is crowned with Gold after the NC playoff?
