Is this a good position to move into from another company? I was quoted $75-85K base, w/ up to $140K 1st year. This is a expansion territory. What are the upsides, downsides, etc.? Thanks!

Good luck with the interview. That Natacha lady is seriously lacking into any insight as to what other medical device reps actually do and seems to have a hard time translating any experience into that POC product. Recruiters are even tired of dealing with her. A bedside meter is NOT the most complex medical sale there is.

Made me come in and do the first of 2 presentations after phone screen. For a rep job selling to hospitals which I have done for years-successfully. You sell them your product then they decide if they like you based on a product they have no background with to know whether it's adequate or not. Joke! This is not the most complicated product around.

Medical Device seasoned reps are professionals. Spine reps and Cardio reps top the food chain. Don't insult this group if they are truly good at what they do. Head Hunters don't know shit! As a spine rep I have not made less than 300k yearly in ten years. Have to work for it. Eat what you kill!

Don't do it! This position is definitely not worth what they'll drag you through in their bizarre and exhausting interviewing process. The interviewing group was very arrogant and rude. Product also sounds like a turd=good luck making any bonus!

That's correct--- "Head Hunters don't know shit!"

Buyer Beware of recruiters who intice you with a 'must have' medical sales certification. They are just sales scammers!

I held this position. Before taking or considering, on your ride-along with another rep, get the honest view of the manager. This is important. As soon as I accepted the position, I found out that every rep in the region despised the manager. The reason this is important is because it is a sort of "group sell" scenario with the manager directly involved, as well as other regional reps. I left a great job for this position, and realized right away that I made a mistake.

The are some really good managers as well. Do your homework. Good luck!
