I am seeking a specialty position, and I have seen numerous job postings on career builders, Linkedin, Indeed, and Monster. Any information on the company will be much appreciated. I have never heard of Pinnacle Biologics, Inc. Where have they been hiding? Are they a start up?

From what I know, unless you are desperate for a job, apply today! It's a fly by night company with a fly by night management personnel. There may be some good people working there. However, those at the forefront of the company should not be trusted. Google their names or perform a search on cafe pharma and you'll see why.

There are a few reps from Pinnacle on Linkedin. Maybe contacting them through Linkedin will allow for a better analysis. Companies will usually encourage candidates they are seeking to hire to call current reps to get their take on the company. The downside to that is a current employee will never say anything bad about the employer. Maybe cafe pharma is the way to go. That, or contacting former employees.

Former PDT rep. Photofrin is not an easy sell. Don't know much about the current company who owns Photofrin. The photosensitvity can be an issue or smoke screen. The travel can be overwhelming if the territory is large. The base pay was ok.

The CEO tends to flare up like a pack of hemorrhoids on teleconferences and meetings. The KOLs don't trust him.

The absence of long term incentives, unstructured bonus program (modified quarter by quarter, and usually the week before the bonus payout is scheduled), salary paid monthly, mediocre base salary, sub par insurance benefits, dishonest management personnel, incompetent HR director, and a product that is nearing its last days.

This is not a company anyone wants to work for or even be associated with. The medical community are even embarrassed to be associated with this group of clueless executives. Granted, there are some genuinely good people there (both actually reside in Canada since their Axcan days), I can't say the same for the rest of those at headquarters. From the CEO to the VP of Sales, to the Chief Scientific Officer, to the Director of HR, NO ONE knows what they are doing. Those listed above are not qualified for the jobs they are supposed to do, they had no idea on how to execute their functions.

If you are desperate for a job and have nothing else close, I still don't recommend working with this company, it's not worth the aggravation, stress, and embarrassment many of us went through

It's an inferiority complex issue with the CEO. He's the foreigner, and relishes being the brutal leader over the Americans. He lacks communication skills. He's diffcult to understand most of the time, therefore, prefers to lead by fear. How someone like him acquires success? That is easy. He is from Columbia. The capital of illegal drugs. The drug cartels have a greal deal of influence in politics and legitimate businesses in Columbia. You don't "rise to the top" in corporate Columbia through hard work and educational accomplishments. You are hired into high profile, well paid positions through the associations with the Drug Cartel. Drug cartel leaders and business leaders in Columbia are like one big famly. I believe that's how the CEO obtained high profiled positions in Columbia. And he was able to ride the wave of success to Europe and the USA.

The company is down to 2 remaining reps from the original 6 which transitioned in from Axcan Pharma. The constant ridicule of Axcan by the CEO made the reps realize that at some point, he was going to get rid of all links to Axcan. One by one, the reps have begun leaving after being shown they were no longer valued. Guillermo Herrera obtained what he needed from the reps. And soon after, he began forming his own sales team. Should anyone be exploring an opportunity with Pinnacle Biologics, a 130 K base salary at minimum would justify putting up with all this company's non-sense. Anything less is not worth the head ache.

Is it true that GH has thrown things at BH during a few of his rages?

No...during all his rages. Hey, wouldn't this be the perfect time to raise the price of each vial to 50 K? All talk and no action, as usual.

The former reps have exited for great company culture, great products, and higher pay. I don't know if Pinnacle continues to seek for new reps. The job does not pay enough for all the crap and poor leadership, which is the make up of this company.

Thankfully, Guillermo was clear on his direction. And the search for new opportunities officially began at our "last supper" in Ft. Lauderdale (2012). It was a race against time to find new employment. Eventually, we did. It's funny how our profiles were monitored on Linkedin by Pinnacle HR and management. Maybe they thought Pinnacle Biologics was going to be as good as it got for us. That was not the case.

Physicians should be able to give anyone interested in joining this company an unbiased review. They are smart and many have a strong understanding of hospital and medical economics. Immediately after a KOL met with Guillermo, the KOL advised that I should begin seeking new opportunities. The KOL believed Guillermo purchased Photofrin to make a "quick buck." While I attempted to defend Guillermo and his actions, the KOL assured me I was wrong and should not passionately defend the false vision and price increase. Also, the KOL recommended I refrain from stating the words "Price Alignment" since it would disrespect any physician with basic knowledge of price increases.

Since departing from Pinnacle Biologics, I have visited with the aformentioned KOL on numerous occasions. Although, this particular medical department is happy for me that I moved on to a great opportunity, the KOL says I would have acquired my great opportunity sooner had I taken the advice from the beginning.

The timing was perfect since it allowed me to appreciate more my exit from Pinnacle Biologics. Also, it allowed me to observe a side of Brad Herrmann I never wanted to believe existed.
