Looking at an opening for a surgical sales rep in a US territory? From reading your board it looks like around a 60k base and maybe 20-40k in commission? any car benefits and thoughts on this position and competition etc? thanks
I am interviewing for a surgical sales position as well. Does anyone have any suggestions or thoughts on the company?
if it is to sell the port closure device "don't do it " I am a new hire and hate it . Although it looks good and i have had several evaluations I have lost each time. Big time pressure to sell this POS. way to many steps and hospitals might want it Dr's dont like it. Clip applier is good but only a few docs take the time to use properly on lap Choly. Good entry into devices but I want out . So be careful
The surgical bag has a decent mix of old and new products. You can always get a pop from pushing instruments, the hemolok clip is used in every robotic prostate and the new port closure device is picking up lots of cooper market share from what I see. To the new guy that cant close an eval, maybe you should spend more time in the OR learning your product vs sitting behind the computer.
Let's see 60K plus 40 K (if you are lucky) is 100K as a surgical sales rep and a pharma rep or biotech rep can work 1-2 days a week and make more? Pass on Teleflex.
