You're accurate on the first two but I have no insight to your third statement.

They are hiring ... just not sure how big the sales team is going to be. Any thoughts on that?

Osphena is Japanese for "Not Covered on Formulary"

No one will write this. Women do not care to have sex past 65 and doctors don't care either. This will be the biggest joke in pharma history. That is why you are getting a low salary. Not worth paying for top talent to launch a dog.

Are you serious!?! Women don't care to have sex after 65?! Please tell me this is a joke and you aren't truly that ignorant.

This drug is not just for women over 65, it targets post menopausal women, usually over the age of 40. Women in their 40s-50s still want to have sex. Also, it will take a while to get the managed care coverage to first or 2nd tier for a new drug, has nothing to do with it being a Japanese company. It is a Japanese company but with corporate office here in the NJ. Same as Takeda.

I was while in my interviews that Osphena will launch with 80% commercial coverage.

Commercially covered women do have a need for this product. Menopause typically occurs between the late 40's to late 50's. These women are still having intercourse. Additionally, even if they aren't having any or very little intercourse, VVA is still bothersome and painful. Anybody planning on selling this drug needs to become educated. Osphena is indicated for painful intercourse due to VVA, a symptom of menopause. Not to be crude but, if your lips on your face are severely chapped are they only uncomfortable when move your lips? Come on people. Tissue is tissue, doesn't matter where it is on you body. It's about treating the symptoms, not what the woman decides to do with her body parts!!

I don't think it's Japanese that have anything to do with the way this company is ill run. It's the American's in charge.

The company is just fine, you're obviously the one who is "ill run" mentally.

Sounds like somebody was listening while being interviewed!!! I highly suggest you do NOT use that analogy when talking to a GYN. Comparing vaginal tissue to the lips on ones mouth will surely make him/her laugh out loud. Mainly because if the man uses HIS lips on that area, it will become pretty damned moistened. There, see? No need for the "medication". Also, when my lips on my face are severely chapped I use a lubricant. There, see again? I can take care of it for less than one dollar per month. A jar of Vaseline lasts forever.

You need to hand back that pitcher of Kool-Aid.

Whew, good thing you are not an OB/gyn.

I haven't had any of the kook-aid, I just happen to know quite a bit about women's health issues. Clearly, you are completely ignorant. It's not about lubrication, it's about providing relief for atrophy. Painful intercouse is a symptom.

Nice try, I'll bury you with my vast knowledge. Keep trying to make it seem like it is a worth product. Ever heard of a little drug called Premarin?? On the market for over 60 years & still making hundreds of millions of dollars.

Now run along and comment on something you actually have knowledge of.

No one is getting over 75k. Ask the docs if they have ever heard of Shionogi.

Whatever makes you feel better. Who cares if a doc hasn't heard of Shionogi, they've heard of Crestor and it came from our R&D!
