Does anyone remember the launch of Corgard, Pravachol and Capoten. E.R. Squibb was a great company with great people and great products.
Yes, they cared about employees, more like a family. Bristol's buyout was the true end of an era. E.R. Squibb (a good Quaker who did not believe in patents for the good of mankind) is spinning in his grave with the idiots running BMS for the last 25 years.
Loved working for the company. They were very family oriented and employee oriented. The reps were true professionals and it was exciting to launch such great products as pravachol( 1st one a day statin) and capoten.
I worked for Princeton Pharmaceuticals-a division of Squibb-and you're absolutely correct. It was a great company to work for. Pravachol was a blast to launch and sell, Corgard was a tougher one to sell but still a good product, and Capoten was truly cutting edge and a blast to sell. Once Bristol Myers came along, that family type of atmosphere was gone and the beginning of the end started as far as attitudes.
Princeton Pharmaceuticals was a great company to work with. There was alot of teamwork and communication between Squibb and Princeton and it was fun promoting the products together. I left the industry 3 yrs ago and things had really changed by then.
ERS-US was the best company to work for and the only one I wanted to work for. I go way back, to the days just right before the Capoten Blitz after Capoten got the first line indication for use. Capoten was my main promotion for several years, but I also sold, Velosef, Prolixin, Corgard, a few drugstore deals, Mycolog, halog, Pravacol. I loved selling Azactam. The best meeting I remember was the national meeting in San Francisco when they had us all wear those white jumpsuits and went to that funky party. I also remember the beach party we had on the San Diego Beach, that was awesome. Oh do I miss Squibb! It was a family and they actually cared about us and we cared about Squibb...
Yes, I mean in 1985 the stock was trading at a split adjusted price of $2.50 per share, and now it is at $41. Who needs that? But you are right, idiots, all of them...........
