In exchange for withdrawing all legal action including at the ITC and a cash payment (likely from the Deerfield Line of Credit), Mako Surgical will shelve the Sculptor and receive the IP including for use of customizable implants, including the use of 3D printed implants with robotic surgery. Will Mako use that for themselves by partnering with Stanmore on implants or just for defense?

“This agreement both affirms and improves Mako’s intellectual property position in robotically assisted orthopedic surgery,” Mako President and CEO Dr. Maurice Ferre stated in a news release. “Moreover, we are enthused about the possibility of partnering with Stanmore on potential future projects.”

Analyst claiming cost to Mako at less than $1M???? um, I guess I was wrong about the strength of the patents. Well played. Now do something with it.

As long as everyone knows that Stanmore never sold a single Acrobot robot.

It is even cruddier than a RIO and there is almost no market for these boxes at any price.

What happens to the Savile Row line of patient specific implants? Are they a no go now that the Sculptor is gone? Both have been removed from the Stanmore website. Did Mako get those patents too?

Starting to think that the Stanmore CEO that "stepped down" just before Mako's lawsuits got lobbed in *might* have gotten fired?
