How else to pay for an on-site tech/rep? Try and snag implant commissions thru co-marketing agreements, right? Is that what they are doing? Need to be careful. It might be a fine line between claiming open architecture but taking on agreements with select implant manufacturers and crossing over into kickback territory? Or is the banner ad on the left side of this page just making me crazy paranoid?

No offense, but I'm not sure how you guys plan on staying alive. Being 2nd to market with a bad business mode(even at 1/3 the capital cost) is not going to work. The big ortho companies already have custom guided uni's. Now one of the companies gives a lifetime warranty. Why do they need you?

 

Because after muscling out Mako who only do uni and hip and still 18 months away on TKR. BBT will add TKR, hip, then skull, spine and so forth. Your fancy "smart" cutting blocks will gather dust and be shown in museums.

 

LMAO. Stryker will destroy you in court. Have you noticed they haven't settled with Blue belt? I don't know how Mako will do long term but you're not even on their radar. They are 170 installed units and 30,000+ procedures ahead of you. Blue Belt's only play is finding someone stupid enough to buy them out. Not gonna happen especially without study data.

 

LOL. Well, they've decided to launch their very own uni as well while still pleading in their PR that open architecture is coming despite the faint sound of 'Taps" playing in the background.
