Hi I have a relative that has an ICD as well as bad back pain. He is being recommended for a spinal cord stimulator but he also has an ICD which I believe can be dangerous. I came across this board through a web search and thought I would ask to see if there is any insight. I guess my question is if anyone on here has had a patient that has both devices at the same time and if so, were there any negative consequences. Any help appreciated

Would go to the Medtronic, STJ or Boston Scientific board and ask about the neurostim + ICD instead of this group.
Having sold stim in the past, I know there were always concerns of a potential 'cross-talk' that could happen between the can and the stim can. As far as I know, this was never proven to be an issue, but I don't know of any live tests that were run with a control group.
I always figured it was like turning your cell phone off in flight-- probably never has and never will take a plane down, but I don't wanna be that guy crapping his pants as I'm doing a barrel roll into the ground at mach 3 because I just had to finish that game of Angry Birds at 36,000 feet and forgot to put it into airplane mode.
