Why did DL leave? Where did he go? It is always scary as an investor when the guy who knows the most about the financial aspects of the business leaves.
You are so right...CFO's know better than anyone when it's time to get out. Probably couldn't take all the misdirection any longer. There has been lots of turnover at this Co in middle management. Stock options probably not worth much now that the price has tanked, so why stick around?
If no announcement by mid quarter then I would say we are going to be bought out. Don't expect a big name play though with our shitty pipe. Probably another struggling company that would merge to cut cost. With everything going on, I cant see us going into the new year without a CFO to answer directly to lenders.
Oh for the days when JA and BH ran Marketing, BK ran Sales, and DL was the CFO. Those people actually had a clue about what they were doing and at least gave us a shot.
Dave L went to some seattle/NWest company for more $$...AJ would not even let the employees throw him a going away party...pretty small in my opinion and very weird on Dave's last day there...had to go off site to have a get together...been gone now a while and while AJ was nice to me he really does not have the backing of the worker bees behind him and they all make fun of him behind his back...when he is out east for the summer the place is a better working environment...the horrible meetings at the Vandy geriatric club/every morning he would walk around and do a head count...if you we not in your seat he would ask where you were...very, very micromanaged and just not the best environment from a leadership standpoint…other ppl there were great...I left same position for another company and made 22K more…no brainer
Dave Lowrance is greatly missed at CPI. He cared about the employees well being and their livelihood. He wasn't scheming and trying to see who he could can. That never crossed his mind.
