AZ Screwing U.S. Retiree Pensions too....

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Hi all:

I retired from AZ in 2009 after 24 years of service. In October of 2012 I was notified that, due to a (unilateral by AZ) error in calculations, I was receiving "overpayments" in my monthly pension from AZ. I was givent the option of either repaying the thousands of dollars lump sum within a few weeks or my pension would be reduced going forward. Well, AZ did in fact reduce my monthly pension payments starting November 2012. This in spite of all the contractual paperwork signed and on file. I filed two letters of appeal, both denied. My only option left is to sue AZ in Federal Court under the ERISA statutes. My attorney requested a retainer of $5,000, which I cannot afford. I have the necessary paperwork from the nearest Federal Court and plan to proceed pro se. I am interested in connecting with other AZ retirees in the same predicament, so that my lawsuit can become a class - action lawsuit. Please feel free to contact me at karlschramper@yahoo.com or call 920 - 428 - 3994. Sincerely, Karl

I did send back a few thousand dollars because of their "calculation error". Are you at all worried that if you did file this suit that they would retaliate and just end our much reduced retiree medical benefits?
