Make sure to research SKM culture before accepting a job

    Run.....Run.....Run as fast as you can.....Please, before you consider employment with Satan himself, please read all of the posts on the sight about the toxic culture and workplace that currently resides here. The toxic work environment goes back 5 years or more. I currently work at this hell hole and it is the absolutely worst place I have ever worked in my life. No one cares about you at all. You are only as good as your last month. I wish that I would have read the posts on this board before accepting a position here. Dear Lord, how can a company treat employees so negatively and not be ashamed of themselves. In the past 5 years, the turnover rate is more than 50%. That is really sad. Doesn't say much for the company. There are a lot of job openings in aesthetics right now for SKM across the country. You do not have to wonder what is going on here. Reps are leaving left and right. Quotas have hit an all time high. Quotas in the summer are traditionally lower yet my quota has an increase of 52% over last years quota. What idiot is creating the quota in the home office. Did you just pull a magic number out of your butt and assign it to all of the reps so that we can all be nervous that we are going to be put on a plan and be fired or be forced to quit. I saw a posting for a job where the rep was currently still in the position. That is pretty low that you would post a job on LinkedIn where all reps look and can see job postings. How stupid. If you are thinking about a career here, don't. The reason that the positions are posted is because they run all the great reps out or fire those that can't hit their unrealistic goals each month. So, to sum it all up, do not accept employment here. You have all been warned.

    Well said my dear colleague, ditto to the previous post. Don't forget about all the countless emails that we get from our RSM, DM's, etc. at all times of the day and night hounding us to do this or that and why are we forecasting to come in at 70%. Well, dumb ass, it's because my goals are at a 60% increase. How can anyone make the ridiculous goals you are asking me to make every month with that type of growth. What about the WAR reports, email follow ups to our accounts and copied to our RSM, the forecasts, the work books required for all events and event planning work books. I'm at 70% because I do not have time to sell during the day because I am required to do all of this extra shit that doesn't matter to the bottom line. Enough already. I thought that this was my territory to run the way I see it should be run. Micromanagement at its best. Allergan, please help us before everyone leaves.

    Just interviewed for a position and turned it down. What a dumbass Regional. What a joke. I couldn't work for someone that I had no respect for. He couldn't even produce the numbers in the territory that I asked him about. Do you have something to hide??? He never once answered my questions or concerns that I had in reference to the job, territory, or company. I am so glad that I took the other position. What a joke of a company and management.

    The people we have hired or promoted to manage the company are the wrong people and they are the ones that have ruined our company culture. People like HG, EB, and PG, just to name a few, have such unfulfilled lives, they have no choice but to make work their only priority. They may claim they have no life because of how hard they work. The reality is they have failed miserably at everything outside of work, so now they just bury themselves in this protective mechanism called "workaholicism" which is total BS! These kind of managers are easy to identify. They make the simplest of tasks complicated, they make a 30 minute conf call go 90 mins (then brag about it like its a good thing), they make peel events and the like seem like they will never end! It's all because they have absolutely nothing waiting for them when work is over. So guess what, work is never over. They dislike and don't respect those of us who have happiness outside of making quota even if we make it! It makes them crazy to see us doing are job well and still having a great life outside of this hell hole they are stuck in. It's never going to change so if you are stuck with a manager like above, you need to stay as far away from them as you can, or look for a company that rewards and respects people who can succeed at work and at home. And one last thing, to hear the three idiots I mentioned above trying to impress each other with how much they work, is the saddest thing I've ever over heard. Pray for them!

    You all have it right! The culture is a awful. My manager and Sam brag about how much they work as if we should be working 20days without a day off too. Lol.. Not going to happen.
    It's a sad depressing place to work. I went from loving from job to hating my job in 6 months.

    Thanks Evan and Patti!! You are the worst of the worst! And you are looking like it too! Look in the mirror you two. The job is KILLING you and it shows! Funny the company is supposed to trick people into thinking they look better, yet the employees look like megadeath!

    LOL!!!! Yeah, she's always been rough around the edges. Smoking and hard drinking will do that to you. Oh, and lack of class. There's that too.

    I've never seen her smoke! Lol! Very insecure for a woman of her age. Makes her ultra competitive in a very unattractive way.
