    Hi guys,
The hospital has changed a lot; recently I read an article that it is about Chinese hospital, which uses the most advanced equipment in their hospital. You can check the excerpts below.

The Guangzhou Overseas Chinese Hospital is a Grade III Level A general hospital that provides services across various fields of medicine, teaching, scientific research, prevention, health care and recovery. From 2010 to 2012, the hospital has been honored as one of the “Top Ten Grade III Level A Hospitals of Guangzhou” by the “Chinese Annual Health Billboard.

When Guangzhou Overseas Chinese Hospital’s new building became fully operational, they introduced an ambulatory medical service platform, integrated operating rooms, and intelligent medical systems to improve staff working efficiency and ensure patient safety. They also implemented integrated computerized nursing cart, to run software in use by the hospital such as an electronic medical chart, a doctor’s chart and a nursing chart. The cart helps collect data about patient vital signs; verify treatment orders, medication and patient information for medication safety; search for and implement medical orders; and check test and exam results. The system allows inpatient first-line clinical healthcare providers to perform real-time bedside data collection, recording, search, management and transfer. By providing simultaneous access to electronic data, the system significantly improves a medical provider’s clinical decision responses, mode of communications and coordination, as well as work efficiency.

From the case, we can find out hospitals have changed dramatically over the last several decades. They have been transformed into sophisticated medical facilities. Today computer-based medical equipment is becoming pervasive, and a myriad of medical equipment such as diagnostic gear, analytical & laboratory equipment, drug dispensing carts, computerized physiotherapy, patient infotainment terminals, multi-parameter patient monitoring, and endoscopy are all leveraging PC-based architectures.
