My manager expects me to check it. She sends out emails at all hours, including over the entire weekend, and expects answers and action very quickly. No excuses. I hate feeling like she 'owns me.'
Well if the RD sends Saturday emails then the DM feels obligated so they start sending weekend emails and then the AM feels that yes this is the expectation, and forget about PTO.
Many years ago they did not micromanage us the way they do now. It was different. With more and more people bringing brought on, the micromanaging and metrics get worse and worse. DO NOT tell us we are NOT big Pharma. WE ARE!
you just said it all This is completely miserable. My husband calls the blee blee bleep noise of Good "The Mother Ship". It communicates with us at all hours. I think my DM thinks if she can email us at 2 am then her boss will know she is a super duper hard worker. She is super duper'ing me out of a lot of sleep. There is no PTO, I have to reply anywhere, any time, and ASAP
there are three tablet managers and two of them fit this description one is brand new dm and not bms funny her entire team loves her
OH Yes! The crazy continues I love the one who can never be found yet is calling dr offices asking what message her rep delivered?! Really does Eric call and check up on you like that. No he thinks you are out riding with reps but your not so what you are doing all day? Other than kissing his ass.
I do not check email after 6pm on weekdays, and computer and cell phone stay off on weekends, sick days, and vacation days, PERIOD!
