Of course we will be closely tracking you. In fact, you'd better be able to explain why you are posting at 1:36 PM. Now get back to work, slacker!

    Regards,
    Management

all Nicks fault. If he would have just gone to work and not asked everyone to do his job for them. this would have not occurred

Watch out -- headquarters is rolling out an updated device that will have more advanced tracking capabilities. While you may not notice it, your manager, his manager, and the home office will have a sophisticated real time mapping program that will reveal detailed information about our whereabouts. This is very invasive technology and I am surprised it is legal since it may reveal information about what we are doing outside of work hours. I may quit shortly after this rolls out. I am looking into the possibility of filing a lawsuit for invasion of privacy since they will have the capability to monitor me on my personal time.

yes they can definitely track you. it is too bad they treat us like work horses instead of employees. someday's I'm not home until 7, sometimes i'm home at 4. We are salary, as long as we get our work done it shouldn't matter what times we are out in the field. it's unfortunate they don't see it that way. if I ever get called out for being at home at 4 and don't get recognize for the late hours then so be it. I'd rather work somewhere else.

The tracking only plays a role if you have a micro manager. Thank goodness I don't. I work hard, get my job done, and get results.

I just turn my IPAD on airplane mode and turn off Location services. My manager asked me about it once and I told him I do it to save battery. Im at the gym almost everyday at 2:15 and picking up the kids at 2:40 and 4:00. My little one just sits in car so I can get a signature once or twice a week after 4:00 to keep him off my back. If your territory is doing well he wont bother you. He's new and said doesn't care as long as you bring in the numbers. He plays more golf a week than I workout, lol:)

If your manager has to look into stuff like that, then what that means is that he/she does't value their employees. There are time to time where things need to get done. Sales is about the freedom. They are probably guilty of when they were a rep.

Big pharma all the way and micromanagement.

The above response to a previous thread is one made by a very very sick individual.

Actually, the past 2 days haven't been ideal days for me to golf. Hoping next week will be good weather. Tues-Fri anyone? NOW go sell some drugs....

DOn't know if you're aware or not, but there's more and more talk about tracking metrics especially with this big push for the 4th quarter. Personally, I think it's all a big mistake when you start putting the importance of metrics in place of quality calls.

Metrics should matter least in 4q. That is when you focus on your top writers.
