Background on BMS IT

Can anyone provide any background on BMS IT?

 

Depends on who you ask: but, overall, there is no future for IT employees in BMS; BMS is outsourcing all of IT to India via Accenture (& their sub-contracted no-name vendors). On the other hand, if you are a low-cost IT contractor, BMS will provide a great long-term revenue opportunity.

 

BMS IT has a couple of decent people, but it's mostly filled with low-cost outsourced contractors - the rest (BMS IT employees) are mostly the ones good at surviving organizational upheavals - these shrewd fellows & gals know hoe to do nothing, collect a fat paycheck & slickly live through the next layoff!

 

Dr. R, now SVP, formerly of Informatics, is the master. He finds reasons not to do things, does less, then lays people off. When has he championed anything? Never.
