I was told back in March that my layoff was simply part of a restructuring. Back in June I saw a job posting for a respiratory account manager position in my dwindling territory. What a bunch of bullsh**!

They do that ALL the time. I think this has happened to everyone in marketing. Check glass door. You just might find your position already posted and you're not out the door yet. The director I had who is no longer there, was overheard saying "Well, if theycan't read the writing on the wall, it's their problem."

You are surprised??? The funnier part is that they already have the Position filled before it's even posted.

if true, grounds for legal action. pure discrimination. NA Marketing team used to be good - many good people lost, but moved on to much better things. HRCs loss.

This is so Batesvillian that I'm sure it's not true...but I heard the HR person who helped push them all out, landed a sweetheart position in marketing? No...that can't be true. Doh.

Unfortunately you weren't the first to be lied to nor will you be the last. Hill-Rom is a big fat lying bomb of a company. Trust me, you are better off not being affiliated with this company. Too much uneasiness here and the big companies are all crap now anyway so think smaller and you will grow bigger and better. Wishing you success and happiness at a BETTER company!!

How can you trust a company that continues to push inferior products?

Also, how can they justify selling a TC bed for $25grand plus when it costs less than $5grand to produce?

    Crooked cheats

I really miss the Stepford-like nature of Batesville. Seriously, it actually creeped me out and scared me a bit. What I enjoyed most was being spied on by the Norman Bates, er, Batesville hotel manager and restaurant owners who would report back to the powers that be at Hill-Rom. I knew reps who would purposely stay in a hotel in the next town over to avoid becoming victims of the Hillenbrand "intelligence" agency. Hill-Rom ownes and rules Batesville and no one is safe there. I just miss that body-snatcher-pod-like little town!

Still there. I'm miserable. It's true. They're even resorting to bogus sexual harassment accusations to be able to hire who they want. I made a big HUGE mistake leaving device sales

Let me know! Bc I'm about to go that route. A company that's in total chaos and about to implode will do anything to ruin someone's career. I'd rather work for Stryker.

Really?? I loved that guy at the restaurant. Super nice. But they aren't treated by hill rom like they used to unless someone is out on the square mile of town acting an idiot.

Just be careful regarding your behavior at the shitty little motel they put you in. There are spies there that will report back to people. I was warned about minding my behavior by my coworkers before going off to training but wasn't sure what they meant. Now I know. Be careful about what you do and say. Don't be seen drunk, don't hook up, don't complain about anything. You have no privacy in your private room. Beware of what you say to the staff, management and what you leave visible in your room. Remember, you must be one of the pod people as the other poster indicated. In fact it is a good rule to follow no matter where you work. If the company pays for the hotel, you better believe that the management report it to the company if you complain. Such an invasion of privacy - I started telling hotels that I expect my privacy to be protected no matter who is flipping the bill. Hotels get pissed by those who complain about poor service and amenities and will take it out on you if you are at their hotel on a companies' dime. I say it should be illegal to report back anything to the company when you stay anywhere. Make sure you tell management upfront about your expectations!... Except in Batesville where it will only make things worse. I called the parent company and threatened to sue the hotel for what they did to me.
