Is someone suggesting that 100 salespeople bring in a billion dollars plus worth of sales for Ranbaxy in the US? That's $10 million each, for the mathematically challenged.

 

Before it is over, you won't be able to give Ranbaxy products away, let alone sell them to anyone. With all the probes and investigations, money will only flow OUT of this pot.

Anyone else remember Vision Garuda (Galvanise Aspirations for Ranbaxy's Unceasing growth in the Decade Ahead!), the 10 year plan unveiled in 2002 that envisioned $5 Billion in sales by 2012? LOL!

Maybe they meant $5 Billion in fines, penalties, lawsuits, legal fees (did someone say Rudy Guliani?), sunk capital costs due to blacklisted and idled manufacturing plants, overhaul of the nonexistent good manufacturing practices etc. etc.?!

The suit was settled, that's the new news. The unethical nature of the company itself is old news.
