If Celebrex is going generic next year, why would anyone prescribe this expensive me too?

If you were just hired, then you will have to go out and sell to find out. If not, then why do you care?

Early investors better sell before you get the first TRx results, I give this drug a peak of 10 million best case.

There are no 'early' investors - this is a privately held company with 1-3 bigwigs rolling the dice. I'm not working here, but was recruited to interview for a Chicago spot.

good luck to the reps that were hired, because you have an uphill battle in front of you. The head-to-head data is not what you expected, the delay in efficacy when taken with food is awful, and theres too many competitors out there.

Listen peckerhead. You might be all wise and highly enlightened. But - at the end of the day, no one really cares what you think you know. You clearly do as you took the time to write it out... just move along and invest your energies where you can do some good. Anyone who joined this game knows we're in for a fight - that's the life and what often makes this gig fun. Just take your sourballs and move along Mrs Clinical expertise.

Well, yeah- I'd have to say I agree with the above. Pretty much sums it up. If you're not in the fight, who cares really what your assessment is. I looked in both my pockets and I found not one sh*t to give.

I am thankful that I did not get this gig, turned down despite selling these drugs before. I predict in 1 year 1/2 of the sales force gone just like Voltaren Gel. Good luck & I hope there is appositive ending for most of you.

Okay then --fine. We all get it! You're an angry elf! Go in peace and do something else with your life. Take a new class, learn to wind-surf, start smoking weed - really...no one here cares. just go and leave us to wiggle thru to some level of success with things here. We're all so sorry you won't be around to help - you seem so useful. bye-bye

Just by way of reminder.... How many SSRI's were on the market when Celexa came out?? yeah ....it's like that. Oh yeah....How many triptans were on the market when Pfizer hit the streets with Relpax??? Oh yeah. This is a $2+Bill marketplace --I think there's room for a safe and effective new entry !

Above statement is true, but ask yourself this. The examples above were when managed care was more branded medication friendly. Ask your local Celebrex rep how many prior authorizations their offices do for the aalmighty Celebrex! Prob a great product but 10 years too late. Ask your DM what managed care for the product will be.

Exactly: relpax was a disaster they never made any profit on it
High sales and marketing costs and low sales

So I ask you then... If Relpax was a failure as annual sales 1 year out was approx $45M...And you say failure because of high sales costs and marketing costs...What would be your take on Zovorlex selling say Do you know what the financial expectations are for this product to be highly successful? Do you know what the Sales operating costs are which need to be covered? Do you know what the 1st or maybe 2nd year sales expectations are from Iroko? Might want to know these things ... don't ya think?
My prediction: If Iroko sold $35M in first year , they would all have boners as big as Texas!

Haha - Thats funny stuff. I suppose the argument is sound though. It will be interesting to hear from Iroko what they will consider success/failure with this product and what year 1 expectations are. Also year-2. It will also be interesting to keep our eyes on Iroko's activty in shopping for a buyer longer term or if they intend to go fully commercial on their own sucess and capital -both financial and intelligence/staff. I for one will be very interested in this 6-9 months from now.

Look- don't be fooled. There is a financial "trigger" out there for Iroko and once sales reveue pulls that trigger - they will sell the whole sell the whole shebang. Unless they begin to unfold a strategy for commercialization themselves- this is just how it's done. Time will tell.
