One week out and I already had to replace total samples in 5 of my largest offices. I tt the docs and they said that they are willing to give it a try. I am optimistic so far but need to see their prescribing habits over the next few months. I hope this product is as good as advertised. I am not drinking any kool-aid but selling the product wyeth put in front of me.

I feel that Pristiq is a good option because of its one dose and very low side-effects. The proof will be in the effectiveness patients get on this product. I will not slam any product out there because there is no guarantee any of the products will work for all people.

Good luck to us all and let's keep our fingers crossed for a great product.

It can take weeks for these drugs to start working and unfortunately suicide is a "side effect" of depression. I'm so sorry for your loss.

Sorry to hear that happened on Cymbalta. That also happened to a girl in Indiana who was trying to earn money to do back to a Christian college and enrolled in a clinical trial for Cymbalta and committed suicide about a week later too. I think her name Tracy.

No time released medications have ever taken effect in less than 30 days for me. I have been on everything..Paxil- Lexapro-- Effexor-- now cymbalta. My concerns are that- I feel I get amune to them and they do no good after a couple years. I am wanting to change to Prestiq due to again feeling I am going through the motions of life and not Living it.

Wow, I'm really depressed now....I've been on several anti depressants also. The reason being that I, according to the doctors, have'nt yet found the right one for me....What does it take to find the right one? I mean it sucks! Ok, your extreamly depressed, you go to the doctor and go thru the motions of changing and changing your medication to find the right one. And suddenly you find that its 20 yrs later and you still feel like shit...Depression is a serious and deadly disease and we need to help the people that have it...no one knows how painful it is unless you have it. I would rather be in physical pain anyday rather than mental pain. I cant give up yet, my family needs me and I'm no good for them in the depressed state...

sounds like the person who started this post should be on it - try pristiq for yourself and see that it does JACK SHIT - i have been on and off every f'ing antidepressant made and pristiq is the only one that has ever made me feel this bad.

Im going back to Cymbalta as its worked the best out of 10 different ones I have been on over the past 20 years.

We are people that need these drugs and we have lifes and our lifes affect our families when we are not in a good way. So please dont treat us as suckers you should treat the potential takers of your drugs with more respect - my doctor lets me choose what I feel is going to work for me, so you need to be a little kinder to us poor unfortunates that HAVE to take your drugs because we were ill informed when we first went on them that realistically we were NEVER meant to get off them and that would be to keep your pockets full of cash....

    Oh please.

As much as Wyeth told us (and now Pfizer) how much Effexor and now Pristiq cured the world...the truth is that the med(s) work for some...and not for everyone.

To assume that the med(s) will cure everyone is a joke. Not everyone will react the same to the med(s). Sure, the general population may find relief...yet, not everyone will benefit.

Get over it pharma...the days of DETAILING the FABs is over!

ObamaCare is going to cure us all...and eliminate the pharma rep jobs!

    Think about it NOW!

My word. As a patient trying (and struggling) to find a drug to help me get through life, stumbling onto this page and listening to you squabbling vultures makes me think this world really is the dark, sordid, slimy place that depressed people see through their mentally ill glasses.
Way to go slime balls...just remember where your drugs go and why.

It's disgusting they're turning med against med for gains, SNRI is the only thing that has helped me stabalise out properly I've gone through SSRI , Mood Stabiliser's , anti Psychotics, all useless to me; Cymbalta is heaven for my past, Cymbalta gives me a chance at a future

The drugs aren't supposed to fix your life if you've got a shit life that's on YOU!
