What is the interviewing process like at SkinMedica? 2-3 interviews? With District Manager then you move on to Regional? ( Only serious replies please. I know a lot of you are unhappy with the company and will tell me that I am stupid for wanting a job with them.) Thanks for any help.

If you are black, forget it. If you are male, you must be gay. Noticeably gay. If your what's left, you can count on 2 interviews with manager, one with regional and then you're sent to CA to meet the corporate perverts who will determine if your hair is blond enough, teeth white enough, tits big enough, and ass small enough. You have fun with that! I know you may think you want or need this job, but I can promise you; you will regret it and so will your loved ones. Especially if in the Southeast or Mid Atlantic. God help ya child!

If you are desperate, this job isn't even worth it. I truly hope you can find something else for your overall happiness and mental health. Ex SM employee here and in 20 years of being a sales professional always producing high numbers. This rates at #1 worst job I've ever had. You asked for serous replies. This is as serious as it gets.

The other thing to know is the products DO NOT WORK! It's morally wrong to be playing on the emotions of insecure women who can't face the realities of the aging process. I've been gone for almost 2 years now and simply like myself better. I really blame the doctors that agree to sell the junk SM sells them. Even us women who sold or still sell the crap know that the only way we look our best is to have Botox and filler injections! Nothing in a bottle or tube has ever had ANY impact on aging! So if you don't mind selling products that don't work, are embarrassingly expensive, and are sold to a segment of women who are grossly over self indulgent, then this is the place for you! But don't dare be more attractive or younger than your manager or she will do anything, and I mean anything, to rid of you but not before making your life a living hell!

Ex Skinmedica Representative here. I left SM a long time ago but I make it a point to avoid dermatology offices where they sell SM products because I know they are not serious about their products.

Very smart way to look at it! Integrity is everything in my mind as far a choosing a doctor and those doctors dumb enough to be sold on completely useless products like SM's, are ones to steer clear of!!

Run for the hills, all of the posts listed above are true. SKM was the worst place that I have ever worked for in my entire life. I too have 20 plus years in sales and they are not a company you want to work for. Toxic work atmosphere and environment run by a ruthless upper management team that needs to go. As long as the senior leadership team is here you don't want to be here. Walmart would be a better option and I am dead serious. Don't even take the job if you're desperate. It's bad Trust me. Read the posts, they are so accurate. I wish that would have read the posts before I accepted the position. Toxic!!!!!!!

It totally depends if you have a skm legacy or agn legacy mgr. Skm mgrs are micromanagers, have no life and are seriously stupid! If you interview with ad, roegena, run like hell. She's evil and depresses everyone. The minute she opens her mouth we all roll our eyes. She's very condensing and no one can ever do good.

Agn has a much heavier influence this year but.... It depends on the manager to carry out the agn message and influence. Skm managers are very closed minded!

And... Skm sr leadership is truly the worst in the business. Heather and joe are a joke!!!

Find out if the mgr is agn or skm- it makes a difference!

Where was Allergan management when SKM management made my life a living hell last year. Why did it take a whole year for Allergan to get a clue. My word, 50% of the sales force turned last year. That's just wrong on so many levels. Good luck to you all in 2014, glad I will not be part of the zoo.

Run from this company. Don't do it. Keep looking for something better where you can feel proud of what you do and know that you are respected by your company and your customers.

I work for an Allergan manager and I love this job! So much fun compared to pharma!

We'll count your blessings! SM managers are mostly a group of aging, no life, wannabe's who make their reps wish they worked in a coal mine! Great differences exist between the Allergan managers and the SM managers. AGN is to SM as a CEO is to a hooker.

I for one, no longer take for granted my days as a pharma rep. I am thrilled to be back in pharma for sure. My experience with SKM was an absolute nightmare and I am glad to be back where I am valued and appreciated for my 20 plus years of being in the top as a sales rep. 2014 is going to be a wonderful year filled with happiness, success, and more money. It's nice to impact patients lives with relief from their disease states verses getting rid of just their wrinkles. At least now, I truly make a difference in patients lives positively and for that I am proud once again.

I think that just about covers it all! Just one clarification if I may. The crap we sell for wrinkles doesn't get rid of them believe me! All it does is hide them for a bit. Just long enough that people can justify the rediculous price but almost no one buys TNS ES over and over and over! SM management knows this but just can't figure out why!?!? $300 for 1oz of snake oil. Sad enough!
