Not true. There are several of these reps that are highly successful and have driven personal success in this division. There's a guy in Calif (SF I think) that is awesome. Another in Alabama that has been incredibly successful and been rep of the year at least 3 times. A girl in west TN that is very god and knowledgable too.

What people don't realize is that in this division (more than any other) these reps have to be present in the OR constantly and REALLY KNOW THE SURGERY more than any other division at EW. Certainly more than most other companies. I work in HVT and I think these guys work harder than anyone in the company.

To be truthful their top 5 reps should have been the FIRST reps they hired to sell TAVI. A shame their talent isn't recognized more than it is.

    BS

People from the OR(I have worked in both) have ZERO clue about what goes on in a cath lab.

These surgeons will be looking for other procedures soon as in a few years, they won't be needed in these cases and the ones who don't play nice?

The IC's will find ones who do. When MDT launches core valve, the IC will likely determine which system gets used as it is HIS patient.

What do you think will influence this more, a CV rep with 1-2 years of TAVR or a long tenured IC rep who is very tight with the IC.

Valve reps, open boxes and buy lunch all day, most overpaid reps in health care

It's ridiculous for those of us on the "same team" to have this cross divisional bashing. There are many areas in which hvt and CSS work very collaboratively together AND successfully. Why HVT would post that CSS reps are "worthless" needs to get an over paid grip spend some real time in the OR gaining the respect most CSS reps have from their surgeons.

Couldn't have said it better. This isn't the case everywhere though, there are some CSS/HVT reps that work together and have mutual respect. Unfortunately that isn't the majority.

CSS reps are some of the hardest working and are in the OR constantly. Thus their great relationships with the surgeons. They have to talk these guys through new and complex surgical techniques and spend a lot of time doing so. Would have made sense to have hired a few of these reps to sell TAVI because they have greta relationships with the very docs and institutions that are moving minimally invasive valve procedures forward at a rapid pace. The best marriage would have been a mix of a few of the CSS reps, a few of the HVT reps that DO sell in the OR and a few IC reps. Could have been an explosive team

But who would want to work that hard for CSS since there are managers that are proven liars and kick their hardest working reps to the curb as the " New" CSS leadership team looks the other way and just rotates a new HR person in every other year. it doesn't matter how well we work together, a CSS rep is expendible.
