Ranbaxy does not own Absorica - therefore, it is probably not part of the deal. Press release or not. It would have to be a separate negotiation on the merger. If you look at if from Ciphers eyes why would they mess with success? They will not agree to have a key product like Absorica thrown in a bag with a bunch of old steroids sold by a bunch of Taro reps. They have always wanted it to have its own sales team. Otherwise, the Ranbaxy steroid team would have gotten it as opposed to it having its own and new sales team. The down side is that we will not be able to punt on the inventiv thing which is a total mess. Absorica will probably be a stand alone after this deal is done.

The steroid team got the cold shoulder when it came to selling Absorica because it gave management the perfect opportunity to cherry pick their favored and most compliant reps. It had very little to do with actual performance. I always smiled and told them what they wanted to hear, so I got moved to Absorica. Some of my better performing, yet stronger willed colleagues were ignored, even if they sold Sotret in the past. The point is, they knew it would come to this so they planned for it at the split. Absorica pays the bills for both teams, not because of any skill on the reps part, but because they have zero competition and it's been hyped since Sotret got canned. As for the steroid team, any logical company would just trim the fat. The steroid team is toast.

I love your analysis of the formation of the absorica team. I totally agree. Compliance was the key. Some territories could be doing a lot better than they are.....

Do you know anything about business? Any agreement that Cipher had with Ranbaxy, it now has with Sun. That is how contracts work. You sound like a very disgruntled Steroid Rep, am I correct?

Well they made this mess, now they have to wallow in it. They say be careful who you step on on the way up because you'll see them again on the way down. Those guys earned themselves some bad karma.

"They", meaning Andy and Ashish, had nothing to do with this deal. Ashish probably didn't even know until after it was done. Do you have any idea how relatively insignificant the branded derm group in the US is to the overall company? This deal is about the generics and the shitstorm generated by Ranbaxy's unethical business practices. Killing the company is the only way to survive. A and A will be scrambling for employment just like everyone else.

You have no clue otherwise you would give specifics.

Honestly, don't care why the shitstorm happened
With Ranbaxy. What I do care about is the undeniable
Karma that is ready to befall Andy and Ashish! Those jerks
Fired so many people over the stupidest things. For Andy, nothing more
Than being an insecure manager in the American
Market and lets not forget his vindictiveness!!
Andy,Andy Andy. My man! we hope you fall on your ugly
Face and are never seen again in
this part of the world! Truly, Karma is a bit$&!!

They are plenty familiar. It's you that doesn't have a clue, fishing for information on what reps do and don't know. Why would a rep put himself/herself out on the line and identify themselves by their friends, territory, etc, just so you can do another witchhunt and fire them for something that has nothing to do with performance? All the stuff here is written by dozens of people, not just a lone wolf with a vendetta. Get a clue people!

I absolutley do. I have class and don't want to personally name call, or hurt peoples feelings.
Do you have a problem with that?

Who are you kidding? Nobody at Ranbaxy has class.

A lot of the reps have class. Even some of the managers do too. The ones without class are the ones that keep everything hush hush and act like everything is perfect. There are three types of people with this company. People that think Ranbaxy's poop smells like roses (they get promoted). People that see the problems, are vocal about it so they can be fixed in hopes Ranbaxy can become a better comany (they get fired). People that hate this company and keep quiet about it (Everyone else).

    Which one are you?
