New to the area and industry, and looking for a nice place to do a speaker/dinner program in Santa Rosa. What place have you had a good relationship with and good turnout due to venue? Please let me know ASAP!

    Thank you

There are all sorts of great places. Ask your favorite doc. Believe me, they are more than happy to tell you. Another idea is to look on net for the Best of Santa Rosa dining and the local rag will give you the publics vote in the last year. Every CA community newspaper in any town of any size, votes on restaurants of the year. Then, get menus, check prices and you are set.

Interesting town to call on. I don't know what it is, but either the docs here are the worst weirdo's you've ever met, conniving or they are the best and kindest. Seems to be a place of extremes and its just an odd place. You can drop some serious cash entertaining here, so beware of that. Don't even think about entertaining without a well respected mentor speaker. Last but not least, do you research on the net and in networking. You can find out a whole lot about many things, if you don't go about it like an interrogator.

I whole heartedly agree with above poster. Damn, making calls on docs in S. Rosa is akin to entering the twilight zone for reps. Lots of front office women that have been coached to give you the ditch treatment, here. Likewise, the docs and staff that are nice, which are few and far between, are really pleasant.

However, most want to take you for a long expensive ride for lunch or dinner. I've covered a lot of towns and accounts in my long tenure in sales and can tell you, Santa Rosa is as weird as it gets. I cannot put my finger on it, but its just a strange place to do business. A vortex of takers and shit on the reps attitudes. Beware.
