Pension Protection?

If AZ is purchased by Pfizer are our pensions protected?

 

Would think under law, would be.

 

Your pension is pretty much in stone, with the money already in trust for much of the future, and it can not be pulled by AZ or any company that AZ might be merged with or purchased by.

I'm not as sure of the possibility, or probability of the present system actually being improved by merging it with another companies that might contain a cost of living adjustment (cola), which ours clearly does not.
