  1. How is PerkinElmer to sell for. Does it depend upon which part of the country you live? I would guess that the northeast is a good area. Lots of pharma QC labs.

They are an OK but not a great company. From what I've seen, their products are middle of he road as compared to their competitors.

For instance in mass spec, Waters, Thermo, and Agilent are kicking their butts.

Lab automation they are holding their own, barely, against Beckman, Thermo, Tecan, etc

Cell Biology they sell something related to Luminex, but Meso Scale is creamng them.

If you are unemployed or worried about losing your current job, they would be OK--any port in a storm as they say. But if you want to make a step up, go to their competitors.

Perkin Elmer is strong in the AA, ICP-MS market as well as the spectro market. I don't see much of them in the chromatography products.

The service end of the company blows. They've got this ugly hack riding around in a Mazda mini-van. It hurts to look at her when she walks through the door. Used to be with GSK. You know her. .... UGGGLYY!

Hey, now you have all of the excitement of adding a prenatal test to bag of your sales team. Guess the team will now make a pit stop in the office of OBGYNs!

For the life of me, I can't figure out why they let productive people go when that piglet from Pheonixville still has her job. She is the worst, and uses company assets to harass people.
