I hear from tenured successful reps that their manager is willing and eager to ride with and help close deals. Is this common or are most unwilling to leave their house? I've asked on multiple occasions and they refuse to leave their house. Stating," That's what I hired you for." I know I sound lame but it does help the new rep to have tenured reps and managers at closing appointments. Please advice. Thanks

Don't expect them to help you with anything. They hired you and that's it. Find a good rep in your region. Don't expect your manager to do more than forward emails from corp. do your job

New England ( 2 regions I think)is good. One southern manager is a born leader. Differing opinions on Midwest. The West has had one nightmare issue after the next for at least a decade which means there is something wrong with whomever manages the RM's. If you haven't had coaching by now you won't get it because the Trainers don't have to train ( so many complaints with this one and no one does anything) and managers don't have to be held accountable. It's easier for the company to blame you than encourage leadership skills from the leaders. Sounds silly but this has been the narrative for a long time.

Couple trainers like their job.nothing happens to the ones that hate their jobs.
