    55-73, car, benefits, terrible bonus + MICROMANAGEMENT = L.O.L.

    If you are not making close to a 100k base in corporate sales, you are a sucker. The exception might be a newbie that doesn't know any better. Those of you with experience that settle for this are too lazy to find a real sales opportunity.

    Many pharma companies no longer truly value the skills and abilities of their reps. This is exemplified in how they have continued to trickle down base salaries over last 5-8 years by 10's of thousands of dollars- and how bonus plans insure only 10-15% of reps even make money. Yet- when a product underperforms nationally and even on regional levels it is always the reps who just aren't getting it done! ............... Hmmmmmmm think about that duality. You speaketh with forked-tongue!

    This is so true. I am part of a local pharm/bio rep social group. Last month we did a comprehensive analysis of average base salary vs 2010. And past year's bonus payouts averages. This group has more than 20 reps who attend from all the majors and minors. Almost everyone has taken a reduction in base. The average quarterly bonus across reps was 2300.00/ vs 6200.00 in 2010.
    There you have it. Facts about our industry and how they view reps.

    Recruiter. "The salaries are a bit low side, but it's a launch situation. Uncapped and 5k/ qtr at goal.
    Me. " what's goal?
    Recruiter. " they have been real clear, they have done solid premarket and want everyone to have a chance to exceed plan.
    Me, ."I've heard before..what is plan? Rx's...market share..?"
    Recruiter, " it will be no problem hitting the 5k minimum/qtr."
    Me now, "not one person made 5k in 1st qtr, no one will make it in 2nd either.
    ...........Dialing new recruiter!

    How much longer can Iroko hang on with a failed IPO and $75 million borrowed to launch zorvolex? Now they can't afford to launch tivorbex even with a sales force in place? It is beginning to look like the contract with ventiv will end well before the original end date.

    The bottom third of this sales force should be cut. Most of them aren't good enough to get it done and a waste of cash that's just being honest.

    Right?! Good point to the arrogant who have docs involved in every paid market research and study. What % of nation scripts are coming out of NJ/NY? Probably because those reps are so superior.

    That's correct. Some high Rx's territories will get 2800.00
