Is this the guy that worked at Takeda? Why would anyone leave another Pharma for Vivus?? Wow.

 

Better question is WHY did Tony Zookie leave AZ to join you guys? bad move, IMO!

 

If Vivus recruited Mr. Williams I am not sure what they means regarding a possible partnership. If one were in the works why would Vivus do any hiring??? Maybe Vivus will hold onto the Endo market with its current sales force and any partnership would address the primary care market.... Who knows.

 

With the recent job cuts in the corporate office as stated in the most recent quarterly release, it looks like change is beginning. Take note, all of the cuts are happening in the corporate office NOT the sales force. Hopefully this will streamline and focus the company.

 

New employees at a DM level mean nothing about potential partnerships.

 

There is no partnership in the works..Why? Look at Belviq. Regardless of what we think about the drug, Eisai has 400 reps on the ground without any success. The market is just not there. Why would any big pharma waste their time and effort on a drug that is not selling? On the other hand, if Belviq starts gaining momentum big pharma may become interested in Qsymia. But no big pharma is going to rush into a deal without seeing some sales momentum.
