funny watching these desperate companies trying to sink zogenix before their CIII hydrocodone gravy train is up. The analysts bit their tongues when they heard the company was going to partner with a non opiod selling pharma sales force. its real hard to bleed a company with no debt, especially no convertible debt.

Keep thinking that Porky. Remember, you can file for unemployment benefits online now.

I'll agree with the original poster. Things may not look rosy at the moment but we are well positioned to take on the worst possible scenario and survive. May be tough going for awhile but I see better days ahead.

I agree, this company will either survive on its own, or it will sell, I am a supporter of the company and its product. I believe better days are ahead for me as a shareholder, as well as the company and its product. I am gobbling up the stock at these low prices, and in the end, I will be a very very wealthy person....I don't really care how long it takes, buying the stock at these prices certainly will benefit those who are wise enough to take advantage of it. If anything, the stock will soar due to sales of this company. Something will happen to lift the stock - large shareholders demand it - buy, buy, buy......

You sound like the jackass that said he was laughing to the bank when he was buying stock at $2.70. Closed at $1.35 on Friday and the company is laying off people. You think it is going to recover? I have a bridge I would like to sell you.

Better check yourself my friend. I think you are the one that is missing the big picture. There is no disputing that things are down now, but when you consider the size of the HC market and the fact that we will have an ADT formula at some point coupled with an organization without debt and cash in the bank, this is a winner long-term. Might be through increased sales, but also might be from sale of the company but Zogenix has much more value than the stock indicates.

What is all this "we" crap- apparently Scott Shively thought things were going super duper as awesome as you do! Tell your cash rich story the 15 plus reps that are unemployed that company blames them as the wrong fit that got a whole 2 weeks severance only if they signed a document not to sue..........Get off Cafe Pharma- you are a pompous ass.

Have you actually dissected the balance sheet, because Zognenix is burning 25 million every quarter, thus the company will be out of money in February 2015. The company has minimal options open to them other than to continue the layoffs, or sell another asset. They cannot afford to dilute the stock much further. Many of the huge investors have lost all confidence and just want to have some kind of an exit strategy.

you can't talk expansion and then layoff people-makes no sense and investors wonder what is going on at Zogenix.
cash burn has to be looked at from all angles-what comes in & goes out. Zer brings in money & so does SDP from Endo. Downsizing saved the company about 425K/qtr then you add SS into the mix and you have about 500+/qtr saved in just salary alone+ more if you add in all the extras. Zer rx's are increasing wk/wk =$$
New products take time, especially one that brought a lot of baggage to the airport before Zer even took off.
Is downsizing the right answer? depends on if you can't get any rx's, not spending for lunches, not doing admin work and your attitude is 'I will hang around until they let me go' with little effort on your part.
Then yeah-downsizing is right for YOU!
