Wonder how this will impact MSG? He was a good man and an effective leader. Sad he passed so young. Really shows you can be fine one day, get sick and died the next. Sad day for Olympus.
No real details. Sick a couple days, passed away in the hospital. I am sure details will leak out as they become known. For now, prayers and condolences, tact and privacy are common courtesy.
Confirmed. Allergic reaction to bee sting. Stung Monday evening, gone Friday AM. So sad. Nacho Abia to replace Calcraft as President effective immediately.
This is a terrible tragedy for his family and for Olympus. He was open, honest, and caring, not qualities you find often at the top of the corporate ladder. This is a huge loss.
I have been working for Luke several years in Europe and he was one of the best... no, he was the best manager I have ever worked for. He was first a man. To me he was a friend. Honest, straight, listening, caring, understanding that a world is complex. And he was wise to deal with complexity of life and complexity of work. It is sad to write about Luke in past tense. Vanitas vanitatum et omnia vanitas...
Couldn't agree more about what a great man he was. He totally transformed Olympus America in a very short time after he became President. He was greatly admired and respected throughout the company on so many levels. He was kind, compassionate, positive, and always seemed to bring out the best in people. Luke will be sadly missed among all that knew him. My best goes out to his family during this very difficult time.
