A 46% turn over is more than people just whining. It's a serious corporate problem. I had a recruiter tell me that he was working with a company who had 30% turn over and he had a difficult time finding anyone who would work for them. This isn't "whining" it's a real problem. Swift movement and radical change is needed or the company will
Plateau. Those that are tenured and succeeding are doing so because they have amazing skill sets and they had the opportunity to make something happen. The new reps are forced to think on a box. Perhaps if some of the build the business mentality was allowed to exist still more people would be happy and stay. I wish I had been apart of this company 4 years ago. Different direction and management style. Today's culture is oppressive.

Have you been under a rock for the past 3 weeks? Everything you said that needs to be changed is happening. "Swift and Radical Change" is what you stated and that's exactly the case here so yes, this is a type of "whining". I wouldn't say I have an "amazaing" skill set but thank you. I have a very strong work ethic and my B to B background helps me know now to close for business which is what you need to do here. I've talked with my manager about how we're moving forward and the strategies we're going to implement and they are exciting. I agree that focusing on our "sweet spot" that we used to in the past would limit future growth but that's changing. I'm excited about the opportunity and I think others should be as well.

Totally agree. It's obvious that the people posting on this site are 1 of 2 types: Either they are disgruntled former employees using these boards as a forum for their passive-aggressive mentality or they are still working here but most likely shouldn't be because they don't have the skill set which in turn makes them try and place the blame on someone else. Atherotech is moving in the right direction and I'm looking forward to capitalizing on it and growing my business in a way I was never allowed to do. That's the key, we weren't allowed to grow our business the way we should have in the past but now that's changed. If you don't see the opportunity in that, then you need to resign immediately and stop showing your true colors with your constant complaining about others just because you're not having success.

NO-This place is still just as toxic as it was before the changes. Think of the old phrase….."a tiger never changes its stripes". You can mask all of the dysfunction however you would like to do so. This bottom line is that until changes are made in the "management style" at the RSD/RVP level, it's no different than before. If I were looking at a Lab Job, this would be a last resort. And before anyone says this is whining…..I am extremely successful here…..I am just riding out the revenue stream and milking this for everything I can until I get out. I have seen what has happened with new hires, and I don't want to see anyone else make the same mistake.

It's beyond bad leadership. It's a negative corporate culture that radiates throughout. If you want success then they must make people feel valuable, listened to, and excited to be apart of something. Thy have missed the mark on all of those points for a vast amount of people. When told of the plans for the future of Atherotech I thought...sounds amazing...then I realized we lack the skills at a top level to bring these "ideas" to reality. Do you honestly believe that James can pull this through? My wager is over promised improvements and under delivered results.

So upper management comes in, makes sweeping changes (bold and shocking) and you're such and expert that you can say this won't change anything? You have no clout. You're a disgruntled employee who would complain no matter where you work. The toxicity comes from you, not the company. We've all seen what happens to new hires which is why we now have a far more advanced sales training department so that they get the training most of us didn't. If I'd had the training they now get, I'd have been so much more successful. For you to know about these changes and not acknowledge that they are for the betterment of the company takes all of your credibility away. I might have supported you a year ago but you look like a fool for making these types of statements now.

Nope…you are the fool for drinking the company koolaid. Keep thinking the way you do. I do agree that these changes are the start in the right direction, but it's too late! So with all due respect…..FU

FU is your retort? Spoken like a true 15 year old! You've just showed your maturity level and lost all credibility at the same time. Thank you. Now you can quit posting to this site since no one will take your thoughts seriously anyway. Call it Koolaid if you want but I choose to look for solutions and not whine or complain about others when I have challenges. I don't blame my failures on others like you. There are a lot of good people in this company and I hope anyone who sees these blogs knows that there are a lot of us who like it hear and want to be a part of it.

I'm sorry….I meant to say here is a steaming hot cup of FU just for your arrogant ass. I don't really care what you think of my maturity level….your opinion means nothing. As for this company…..it is still going to continue to be dysfunctional until major changes are made with the RSDs. Hopefully people seeing this will realize that they should truly RUN AWAY and not waste their time interviewing. I am sure that the company will continue to thrive and prosper with the likes of yourself. As far as my opinions go, hey, that's all they are. Whether I am right or wrong is for all of us to find out in the future. I will say one thing……I do enjoy our little chats! I find this quite amusing.
