More power to her. I don't know if I would be brave enough to speak out. But someone needed to. I saw that she has retained an attorney.

She may need it before this is over.

Hard to predict if a patient positive for Ebola will walk into your ER though. So many things went wrong and it could of happened to any off our healthcare facilities.
It was however naive for any of us to think that Ebola would never get to the USA.

We need to advertise a Ebola hotline for people to call. Otherwise, our ERs and halls will be caught off guard. Hazmat or no Hazmat.

Today every person who vomited in public made national news.

    What a nightmare.

    Absolutely no excuse for this.
Ebola has been common knowledge for awhile now. One of the first most basic questions when taking a patient history when dealing with an unknown: have you been to any tropical or foreign countries lately?
Lastly, some of the top biosafety level 4 research laboratories in the world Are located in Texas. Not only is the proper equipment and hazmat suits only a hop & skip away, but also an absolute wealth of expert information from those who have made a career of studying the Marburg virus and other hemorrhagic fevers (Congo, Lassa, etc).

My first reaction to that article was fear that that woman will never get a job as a nurse again, but then I can only imagine that there are much much better facilities who would gladly take her on for that very same reason-- courage, professional standards.

There are whistleblowers, and then there are whisleblowers... As much as I generally distain unions, I'm glad she has one behind her.
