Wow it's incredible how many simply ignorant people post on these things. I am in the medical device world but don't work for Mitek or Arthrex but I will say one thing- Mitek has really high quality products and their reps know what they are doing. Arthrex has good products too but Mitek, being a J&J company, puts far more into research and development into their products and the quality speaks for that. I think the Mitek reps and products are the most respected in the field - Arthrex a close second. S&N... not so much. I've been in this field for 4 years and have seen high turnover (in my territory of course) of Arthrex while the Mitek reps have been going strong w zero turnover. Anyway, that is my two cents.

    Is Mitek finished? HARDLY.

Mitek is finished. I used to work for them. All the business I converted is now lost. The territory I had has had 4-5 reps since I left. All my surgeons are using everything from Biomet to Arthrex. They are even using S&N. Freaking S&N. Mitek blows. It's a great company to work for for about two years, then get a position selling joints or spine and make $250,000 at least

Interested in a device that can rival tightrope and. Has. A totally different mechanism?
this is the YouTube link that you can show to the interested companies.

I can send the same as email, with more details.
Preliminary tests for slipping and breaking are comparable to tightrope.

I am sure that it will succeed.

How many distributor reps will they take direct. There are probably 500 nation wide that work for distributors. These guys run circles around the people that competitors put on the streets.

Why go direct? Maybe distributor reps weren't paying enough attention to Mitek? could it be possible that the market has surpassed Miteks product offerings?what other big player has no camera system.

Not done but based on previous posts they are about to lose market share.

Mitek is nowhere near losing market share. Numbers dont lie. However fewer feet on the street is a real issue. Arthrex floods an area with reps and while 90% of them are nothing more than box openers feet on the street matters.
The Syntheis influence is why Mitek is direct today; it is about more corporate control. Too many agencies were hitting BP primarily due to the Early Intervention platform while the newer products were not getting enough attention. Shareholders want a more immediate return on their investment.
