i used to work in data analytics so please consider that you are wrong about the refill/trx/nrx

    per IMS DEFINITION:

NBRX: new to brand (no rx for this brand for this patient in prior 12 months)
NRX: new RX (patient has had an RX within the past 12 months)
    Refill:! exactly that....a refill
TRX: total RX (new and/or refill fill - aka an Rx other than NBRX.. so, basically an nrx or refill)

thus, ultimately all NBRX will roll into a NRX, REFILL AND TRX, so a NBRX is a leading indicator of success (to the extent ims can actuslly predict future trx darn near perfect

Then why do wh get nrx and not nbrx data? Why are we paid on nrx and not nbrx? The previous post was correct. The data we get is nrx and that is any new rx even if it's the patient who has been on the med filling a prescription every month with a new script written out. Nrx indicat very little about true growth. If a dr rxes Q with 5 refills, those 5 rxes go towards Rex bot not nrx. If the dr rxes a new Q script every month, you get 6 nrx

hello (first appologies for spelling errors/punctuation, im using a device with a wacky keyboard),
fair question, the answer is pretty simple...IMS data dosent go fown to thr NBRX level by rep territory either at all or at a cost that is reasonable. the truth is that I dont 100% know if thry have changed the perameters of data availabilty since I left analytics. but if hou think about it, it makes sense as each Script is tracked, essentially, down to thr patient level, thrn TRACKED BACK FIR 12 months, so to get that data, then cut it by region territory etc weekly/monthky would be crazy data heavy & therefore expensive. if it mskes you feel any better, to that end, most every pharma company therefore comps on NRX vs nbrx. hope thst hrlps!

It doesn't look like after 4pm tomorrow numbers will mean anything.

    Latest from WSJ

One of the pureyors of the newest weight-loss drugs is going on a diet.

Vivus , which sells the Qsymia pill, plans to trim its U.S. sales force by about one-third to approximately 100 sales reps, down from 150. At the same time, the drug maker plans to shift some of its spending to “high-value, consumer-focused digital media projects” to support obesity education, according to a statement.

The move comes as the drug maker struggles to make its prescription drug stand out among a trio of recent entrants. Over the past 20 weeks, the number of new U.S. prescriptions written for the Vivus pill has remained flat, according to RBC Capital Markets analyst Simos Simeonidis, who cited data from IMS Health and Symphony Health, two different market research firms.

Moreover, Qsymia market share also trails those two rival drugs – Contrave, which is sold by Orexigen Therapeutics and Takeda Pharmaceuticals , and Belviq, which is marketed by Arena Pharmaceuticals and Eisai. Using data from Symphony Health, for instance, the Vivus pill has captured 24% of the U.S. market, while the Orexigen drug has 32% and the Arena pill has nearly 44%.

Could anyone provide information on contract length and pay. I'm looking in Texas and would like to know information on size of territory .Thanks for any information-not trying to be lazy just trying to get inside info. Please no lectures saying not to ask info because all recruiters tell you how great everything is and I would like an honest opinion.
