"Great Company" bull sh@$

    So the newest thing at MDL this past year was "becoming a great company". This is this biggest load of bullshit I have ever heard. Below average compensation. Poor benefits package. Shady commission structure. No national meetings because we 're too big. No Microsoft Office (Excel) because its too expensive. Above average turnover. The list goes on and on. Sounds to me like we're in the direction of becoming a great company ha!! To anyone considering employment with MDL please reconsider. Don't settle for MDL, hold out if you can for a better opportunity. This company does not value or care about their employees.

    Heed to the warning above!!!!!! MDL is not a company you would want to work for. If you are slightly heavier than the average person and/or a minority know that your are going to be discriminated against. Specifically pay attention to the COO of MDL MA.

    The lab director PW, is an unqualified individual that has many baffled as to how he obtained the position that he is in now. Don't be intimidated when going in for an "Open House" because said individual is putting on a show of something he barely understands. He doesn't have a Master degree which obviously makes him unqualified for the position he's in.


    The unethical treatment of employees at MDL can be heard and felt all through out the facility. From lack of concern of their employees and patients wellbeing, MDL only devotes their time, energy and effort into quantity, i.e. making more money than quality i.e. correctly testing patients samples and giving out accurate results. "remember the people behind the numbers"

    These problems occur throughout the divisions and companies. It's the culture of corporate HQ, quantity over quality for production and staff.

    the company is not bad. has a lot of areas where it can improve (but only if the employees allow to). like they say, it is THE PEOPLE that make or break the company. quality is certainly an area for improvement, but that exists for many companies out there. great and qualified people who wish the best for the company they would like to work for is what it needs. not the people who shit where they eat.

    COO who is MA is complete moron. He is an AH. Very typical mentality and behavior of MDL "leadership". Of course, companies tend to take on the personality of CEO.

    The reviews on glassdoor are worse than on here at CP. Question......at what point does the owner of a company start to worry about his reputation or his companys' ? Begins to be concerned for his overall employees treatment? Does he even care? Years and years and years of complaints leveled mostly at one individual ( VT ) and ......... nothing. Evidently, he only cares about how much money his company can make and this determines how much money he will be able to put into his own pocket. These 2 things over-ride everything else. Reputation? Who cares. When he's ready he'll go back to Israel. Place is a joke. I assumed all upper management can juggle because they're a bunch of clowns. Hate it!! I hope most people who decide to interview look at the reviews on glassdoor and cafepharma. Even if only 10% of the stories are true..........still a nightmare in any universe.

    I have lost all respect for EM. He continues to believe everything VT tells him. She is the worst manager I have ever encountered. His company will never be great because of VT. It could have been a great company but not with her involved. She has zero business sense. She is clueless to what’s going on in the field. Managers with no degrees or sales experience. DM’s and SM’s sitting at home doing nothing but getting paid for it while they cheat the SSE’s and AM’s out of commissions at every turn. This company is the worst ever. The people that stay are there because they can’t get hired anywhere else.

    look up immature adult..........this is VT. She's incapable of maintaining adult-like relationships. Her perspective of the world is too immature. This is one of the many reasons why most people can't understand her and why she frustrates and angers many people. She can't run a business or manage people effectively. EM does not give a rats' ass about 99% of his employees. His mind is always wondering looking for things to buy.

    " THE PEOPLE that make or break the company. " To some degree this is true; however, companies take on the personality of their CEO. In other words ...... shit rolls downhill. Get rid of VT!!!!! Replace her with somebody with experience at managing others. She is a cancer that's affecting most people there. She's a horrible person. A moody, revengeful, immature 14 year old trapped inside an adult's body. Very unwise. Toss her ass out onto the street and watch the morale instantly improve.

    I just left the company because of her, and I was one of their top contributors. Real shame. She turned Texas, their most profitable state, into an awful mess. God bless whoever tries to fix that.

    The majority of us left because of her. You would think that EM would have caught on that the top managers and reps left because of her and done something about it prior to his company going to hell.

    interesting. can you explain why texas was mdl's most profitable and how exactly did vt ruin it. i've seen MANY reps come and go in texas. i see so so so many resumes with mdl on it. when i talk to former ( not former ) reps they mostly all mention 1 person ......... this VT.

    The list is endless. She is the most toxic person I have ever encountered. I used to have a tremendous amount of respect for EM until he did nothing to stop this incompetent individual run his company into the ground. She has run off highly successful people because she felt threatened by them. She wasn’t even a good sales rep. She has zero business sense. TX had some of the company’s top reps until she ran them off. She keeps inexperienced people around her to make herself seem like the better person. Some of their managers barely finished high school yet are in leadership positions? MDL started failing as soon as she was promoted to VP of Sales and continued to fail under her “leadership”. How did she get the position? She fabricated issues about the previous Director of Sales and EM believed her. Sinking ship and all because of VT.

    VT manages by using fear tactics vs trying to motivate people in a more positive atmosphere. Everything she does is to instill fear.

    as long as EM is able to fill his pockets with money ......... he won't care enough to even look into this. he wouldn't have the balls to fire her at this point. if he did get rid of her.......instant morale boost across the board. VT gossips like a little girl. keeps herself surrounded by people who make her feel better. she called me up one time and told me she was told by another person I said something not nice about mdl. my mouth dropped. i was thinking i was back in the 7th grade. i told her it wasn't me but another person ( someone VT liked ) and I suggested we call that person and have a 3 way conversation to clear things up. VT refused. i later quit. there are no words to describe VT........toxic? much too soft a word. have no idea how her husband put up with this for many years. or, is she now divorced?

    But if TX is failing and it is EM’s pockets are hurting. VT is destroying his precious company. A lot of good people have left because of her and now revenue is falling. For a smart guy he sure has been stupid by keeping her this long. I know she came close to getting a divorce but somehow managed to turn things around but then again she’s never home so hubby enjoys her paycheck while she’s on the road all week.

    there is NO way her husband could put up with her childness and immaturity. I hope she's sterile so she doesn't pollute the planet with a "mini-me". she's probably hiring a PI to find out who is writing all of these posts. have a childhood friend who is now a recruiter in the medical lab industry. he calls me up and tells me every week he sees resumes across the country with mdl on it. EM really needs to FIRE VT and begin an in-depth look at how to turn mdl around from being the laughing stock in the lab industry to respected A-Class company. This will mean making some difficult and painful decisions. maybe hire a behavior analyst to come in and clean house. VT has fired people before because she thought they were talking about her to EM. VT portrays these people as useless and builds up a small case to let them go.
