Damnit! Look, it's one thing to not have first half rankings out but damn, these are just weeklies.

Start doing your job and paying attention. Spend more time counting everything instead of trying to convince us that you have captured everything.

One day you will realize that the field knows alot more than you will ever know.

The only thing that has been delayed is your credibility. For some time.

I better have my rankings by tomorrow and you better have them right or I am flying east.

    Definition of ACCOUNTABILITY
: the quality or state of being accountable; especially : an obligation or willingness to accept responsibility or to account for one's actions......... I&I Leadership have you ever heard this word? No of course not, we are the opposite of big pharma!

lack of credibility and ability to count = high turnover. I&I has the highest voluntary turnover I have ever seen during a launch year. Lets ask ourselves.... Why????

Accountability??? You aren't going to find that here. If you are in a geography with high volume or are fortunate enough to be in one with an adequate amount of targets you will make $$ and enjoy the lack of no oversight whatsoever because indexing geographies doesn't exist here either.

That is a completely different issue. At what point are they going to realize that none of the territories are on an equal playing field? Absolutely nothing will change with the rankings until they incorporate other metrics instead of volume alone.

One other thing. Do they honestly think it is motivating the entire sales force by adding a few more President Club spots or a special bonus based on ranking? If you're not already in the top 20, you have no chance in hell.

So this is an interesting read. I am interviewing with Calgene Derm tomorrow for a new territory position. What am I walking into? Real talk now...no slanted views. Good, bad, indifferent, worth it? Appreciate any insight.

Seriously? If you are looking for a rewarding career in derm Do NOT come here. If you want work for a place that values feedback and acknowledges issues and gets the field actively involved in problem solving Do NOT come here. There are to many issues to list and I don't see them getting better anytime soon. I would go to the interview and judge for yourself. There will be red flags from the start. (for example type of interview questions, the twenty year old sitting across the table interviewing you, or their answers to your questions) We all ignored those thinking we hit the Celgene jackpot, which turned out to be a crackpot:(

That's a big fear for me. My #1 weakness is ignorance in your industry, as I come from outside the industry altogether. I have jumped once before and was fine...but this kind of move needs to be long term. There is a ton of chatter about lack of leadership, little direction, and even acquisition talk. I'm sure the truth is in the middle somewhere but where there is a lot of smoke, there has to be some fire. Can't wait for the interview! :)

Thank you for the response. Much appreciated.

Do yourself a favor, don't come to this division. . It is an absolute train wreck being run by a group of misfits who belong to a boys club. I and a few of my colleagues have left voluntarily and/or wouldn't touch a position unless we needed a temporary paycheck. Most are miserable due to the fact that the ass clown, Ron Owens and his crew don't comprehend differences in market conditions and territory volume potential. Combine those qualities with the disastrous DM and RD team who possess absolutely ZERO leadership skills, ilet it has turned out to be a disaster.. those are the facts..

VERY well said and completely accurate. Listen to the red flags...believe me there will be some.

we want to make sure they are accurate so we can tell you in 6 months that the data source was fucked...how many people have been fired because of corporate's inadequacy?
