So management says their investing in Salesforce.com for US, the SALES TEAM. I've heard a lot about the platform and it seems these guys have finally figured out its about giving us tools to do our job, NOT tools to measure our job. Never used Salesforce.com before. What do you guys think - could this be a good change from iQuote/SugarCRM?

It's a bad idea. They give you very short time frames 48hrs to complete all inputs. And there are dozens of reports they require. I would suggest they save the millions and make their products price competitive and pay the sales people the commission they deserve!!!!!

no matter if you introduce salesforce.com or any other "Software" - it's all about how Management and Leaders will use it. If they are Laggards, they ask for reports and ask questions - If they are Leaders, they ask for problems and changes

Having personally developed and rolled out 4 CRM tools for you guys, I can state without a doubt, the TOOL is not the issue. It is the adoption, training, acceptance and culture surrounding the use.

Unless it is user friendly and you guys find any value in using it, we all know there will be another new tool in another couple years.

    Oracle CRM
    Ad Hoc Developement-Interim CRM
    SAP (Happily delayed and tanked...)
    Sugar CRM
    Now Salesforce.com......

Next will be Microsoft Dynamics in 2018.. lol

    Good luck guys...same ol'...same ol'....

Spending millions to fly all reps to Dallas or California says one thing.

Management doesn't realize that the same training could take place via web ex for a ton less $.

See there's money they could pay us with, but they choose to be wasteful assholes
