MIS stands for "Make It Simple". It's an Israeli company that has some share in NJ/NY and sells for aroung $150. They've been in existence for about 15 years. Nothing happening with them in my market. Nothing particularly compelling here except price.
When they came to Florida several years ago, they were one of the first REALLY cheap implants. They got a lot of attention right away, and even a good number of specialists tried them out, but then didn't re-order because of the huge increase in non-integration. Today they exist on the same GPs as Niznick, Megagen, Zimmer, and the rest of the low-price leaders. Many docs call them "miss" down here- you can speculate as to why...
Based in NJ, very small operation, no production in the US. They are essentially an import/marketing firm. They do relatively well in the NY Tri-state market with GP's who place implants. A large population of Jewish doctors in the NY area using a low priced Israeli product, understandable. Will MIS ever make in roads in Texas, Chicago, Baltimore, etc? Probably not.
I am starting to see them in my territory, not with the OS's but with the GP's. They are not affecting my sales yet, but then you never know.
i compete against them and i sell an israeli implant it works just like mine there are plenty of specialist that use them and seem to be happy with the results and they will get their piece of the market
DO NOT WORK HERE! YOU WILL REGRET IT! Doctors don't know the brand, 2% commission, low salary, low car allowance, will double your quota mid-year or whenever they want, new CEO, layoffs yesterday!!!, reps quit almost weekly, managers are helpless. REPS ARE MISERABLE! Go work for a real company.
Five layoffs out of 70 employees. They cut the sales force down to about 30 reps. When people quit, they wouldn't hire a new rep for the territory. They would have a nearby rep absorb it. No growth so no problem combining territories. I know a lot of reps who are losing their big accounts. MIS is going no where.
