    are you kidding me??
The number of vac patients is fixed, finite number. It fluctuates but it exists as one number.
The number of patients kci has on vac is also a fixed number
If the number required by kci to meet quota, exceeds the number of all vac patients, its still impossible

    BTW Jerk
    I posted #33
You must be a manager at KCI.
While you made wiseass remarks, you failed TO ANSWER THE QUESTION!!!!!!!!!

So forget the math. If KCI gives you a number of vacs to obtain that exceeds the number of all available vacs within your assigned territory, How to you make quota and get paid?. Remember the quotas will continue to rise

    Ok, Jerk here:
First of all I am an acute rep and totally agree that the quotas are too high to make any money; however, that was not what you were saying. You feel that vac patients are a finite number. This is called penetration. If you have a vac on every wound and incision then you have 100% penetration (nothing to do with % of market share). Now, is 100% penetration realistic? Absolutely not! Most incisions or even wounds, do not need a vac. So to increase your % to quota, you must increase your % of penetration. This is done by finding additional specialties, or procedures that could benefit from vac. If you are post acut, there are many wounds that come into a WCC that qualify and would benefit from vac, but walk out with wet-to-dry dressings.

When you complain about your business and try to use math to justify why you aren't making money, please help us all out and know what you are bitching about. Some of us know the real math and still not making money.

I have to agree with the "Jerk". Penetration is what has to happen to grow most areas. However, the company is making money and the reps are still not getting paid. Good for the Acelity bottom line. Terrible for employee satisfaction and retention. Woody and Rohit do not care about the reps. Joe designs the shit sandwich that Noohit sells in his weekly message. Guarev pushes the operational part weekly with his death dealing "Franchise Leaders".

The fact of the matter is all pharma or device jobs have changed drastically. If you go in with your eyes open and expectations in line with what your going to get, go for it.

Solid rep left because no way to make money. If you interview, ask about actual money, not potential. This is not just for that NC position, it is the national trend. We're being told of changes to come, but not sticking around to find out if THIS time it happens.

True statement regarding the actual money. A few reps are making money. However, most vacant territories are open due to extremely high quotas. Like my DM always proclaims, "Senior management knows there are problems so they are really making sure that the changes they make are the right ones". Which won't occur until 2016, maybe if the new owners agree.

Is there a reason why a retention agreement was filed with SEC for Casey, CFO in August 2015 (almost a full year after he was hired)???!!!!!!

Can anyone comment on benefits, car or allowance and how much, etc? Mgmt is very vague about these things during phone screens. With the amount of turnover, you would think that the managers and directors would want to get spots filled ASAP. They also speak of huge potential to make $$, but can't or won't give examples. Any brutally honest replies are welcome.

so what they have given you is plausibility (which the high $$$ barely is). Ask them for the probability. Specifically what percentage of reps are at plan- what does that pay on average. And on average at what % of plan would someone have to be at to make high $$ and what percent of reps are making that number. The reports are that reps are having commissions taken back. Ask if that is how Possible in the plan. You should run from any Acelity company- but especially this one.

Benefits are solid. Car is your personal car with a reimbursement rate that does not cover your costs and is well below the federal rate. GPS tracking by phone which shows an exact map of where you are is required for car reimbursement.

The commission plan is set up as a yearly plan, not a quarterly plan. More than 1/2 of the reps in the nation right now are owing money back at the end of quarters. You're best and most honest answer will be to specifically ask how much the last rep made in bonus and at what percent to plan they were. There's a 99% chance the rep left because they weren't making money due to the terrible plan. Good luck.

Is PTO still discretionary as well?

There is no PTO. You'll get no specific number of days. And all approval of any time off is completely up to your manager.
