For those of you who had tenure with Pfizer before Zoetis, how did your tenure with vacation, 401K, pension, etc. work out once with Zoetis? I ask because, as you likely know, the GEP unit of Pfizer will likely be spun off in a couple of years and I am unsure as to what happens to your tenure once a new company is created. Thanks ahead for your help in understanding this.

Tenure carries over...years of service, vacation, etc.

Thank you for your reply. Would you say most people you know have been happy about the spinoff from Pfizer, negative, or neutral? Thanks again.

You have to have a high tolerance for change. It's a long process and there will be bumps in the road. If you like the colleagues going through it with you it really helps.

Negative without any doubt. 70% of the team I was on left in the couple of years immediately post Pfizer. They were all highly respected and valued colleagues, All had many opportunities outside of Zoetis and did not need the baloney that came with Zoetis after the spin off.

It's been both positive and negative. There are certainly challenges and resume padders that come with being part of a spinoff/startup.

There are also an awful lot of headaches, aggravation, long hours, misery and, of course, the opportunity for hedge funds/buy outs to happen. I would say that the opinion of Zoetis as a company (by the employees) was pretty positive up until the last 6-8 months or so...at which point morale took a shit.

Life immediately - like 3 months - post spin off was pretty darn terrific. Then it went down hill. I think it depends on who Pfizer foists upon you. In Zoetis case, we got Sady Beatty, Kristin Peck, Roxanne Lagono - all train wrecks who proceeded to wreck the company. Kristin fired the entire leadership of the U.S. so no one left knows what's going on. So, watch who mother Pfizer sends to you right before the spin off, if they're any good, you will be fine, if not, start polishing your CV.

You got it. Pfizer gets rid of their debt and their problem executives through spin offs. It makes it hard for the new company to succeed.

You have some of the biggest turds in Pfizer/Zoetis history still at that company... How? I will be forever perplexed. Pirtlle and others of this regime and prior, please explain to me what this wizard has brought to the company. Most folks of any leadership or skill set value have long since left or been forced out of that potentially great company... the others that hang on??? really unfortunate.
