Who do you have to slurp on to get some new equipment?
I need a new pencil sharpener and I can't seem to find the budget for it.

 

A new pencil is not in the budget, you can also forget about the sharpener. There simply is not enough profit to pay for that sort of luxury.

If it makes you feel any better it has always been like that. When FDS took the company public there was cash for a bolus of HPLCs. That was the only time we had cash. Other than that AAI had to borrow money. That is why "work in progress" WIP was important, it showed the banks we could pay the loans.

When the executives got stupid and borrowed too much, spent it on Darvon (go figure) then the wheels came off. Unfortunately the scenario today is still the same because the business is the same. Adding CM to the mix does not help. To grow means more people and equipment but does not translate to increased profits or margins. It is an incremental increase but not something that changes the paradigm.

 

So we are screwed with no money for lube?

Nothing changes, the bozo's "in charge" come and go but we are still screwed. Some like PW walk away with MILLIONS, literally millions. They F%^K AAI and get rich in the process.

You can blame the few management people left (like EM, BD, DS and JM) for going along with this CRIME. Some people stood up and said "hell no" and got fired some just left. The ones that stayed are part of the screwing. Maybe they held you down, maybe they just watched, and maybe they greased the skids. In any case they are not to be trusted, nor the new crop of fools.
