There are a few, but they'll likely be leaving soon.

Sure there are. There are good and bad leaders here just like in any other organization. There's nothing wrong with bringing in new blood it can be a very positive experience. But it's obvious the most senior executives are not aligned and the result is an unclear strategy and fragmented organization. People are digging in their heels and we seem to be living Core vs Infosario part deaux

So essentially a lot of pain, but not clear why? As in no good end point in sight? It must be tough times and I can understand why talented people will likely be casting their net outside. Is this likely to benefit competitors? It would seem to be a great chance for them to get their hands on very experienced, bright talent.

A lot of pain because the top dog that won't make hard decisions around organization structure. So we have what looks like a game of RISK occurring, only its real life and not a board game.

It's RTs consistent MO to set up a pissing contest and then get out of the way. Avoids the need to make any actual decisions.

No, RT has handed the reins over to AM. Makes me think RT is ready to cash in his shares and move on.

Yeah the shares from the IPO the droids didn't get an opportunity to participate in. Way to go with empowering & including the workforce Q.

It was all "we can't discuss this with mere employees only with investors and other important people" up until the day of the IPO. Funny how they seemed to think that employees couldn't also be investors.

RT will be out the door by October.

He should have left already. The JnJ fiasco will haunt him. People in this industry talk and word is already getting around that we are not a good partner for this type of engagement (Argus).

RT will be gone before Oct. that's why he's letting AM take over. Who knows why EH is sticking around.

RT and EH are waiting for the vesting period on options to complete. Then they both leave

I don't pretend to know the truth, but given that this entire thread is pure conjecture, I question the logic of October being the special month RT's options all vest. Quintiles went public in May 2013. I would assume that options vest annually.

If RT is waiting for options to vest, then logic tells me that May/June 2016 would be a more realistic guess for his departure.

    Try another approach. Scare monger.

Your opinion is just that...opinion. And you know what they say about opinions, right? RT is completely sidelined now. He doesnt have a job in case you failed to notice. The plan was for him to spin out tech solutions. Unfortunately for him and others...well you can read all about it in the Bye Bye JnJ thread. His brand gets diminished the longer he stays, and do you really think the BOD will allow him to remain another year sidelined, raking in those big bucks. Why don't YOU try thinking a bit more before you throw out labels!

RT is choosing to appear to be sidelined. He pops up when he disagrees with something EH or AM are doing. Generally someone has to put a bug in his ear first though, and It needs to be someone outside of EHs loyal followers who are busily rebuilding EHs empire

This is temporary. When AM hires his head of product services VP, CTMS, portal and the others go to AM. Lab will be gone as a result of the the new joint venture. The only question is who leaves first RT or EH? They will both be moving on.

So as President of IT, his job essentially is to pop up when someone puts a bug in his ear? IT is more divided than ever. The Technology Solutions group has failed to deliver on J&J, not to mention they are nowhere near the business revenue targets set earlier in the year. Another round of layoffs are in the works. I don't think he chooses to be sidelined. He sees where this is going and it's to a place that will not include a future for him.

2 things RT is not: stupid and a martyr. You can bet he has a plan. If you are not aware of it, you're not part of it.

And get the facts right, Tech Solutions has nothing to do with JnJ. JnJ safety falls within EH's group. JJ leads TS and reports to RT. Just in case that wasn't clear the last 20 times they've presented the org chart.

Of course he has a plan, it's just falling apart. JJ leads nothing, clown. If you looked at the org chart the last 20 times, you'd see they are "recruiting" for that open position. JJ sells small deals, not nearly enough to sustain the number of people working in his and EHs group. And yes thats how those groups were to be funded according to RT himself. The fact is they needed to deliver the JnJ work in order for tech solutions to become a reality. They didnt, and it wont. Not as it was sold. It will likely be a partnership with a BPO. Meaning expect layoffs soon and an announcement of a partnership at some point.
