The lung drug didn't fail and will likely still be approved - the FDA requested more information (and given the company is pre-commercial, and AZ was approved days prior, of course the swing in stock was big. But swings go both ways). Plus, there's a second drug in Clovis' pipeline with break-through designation, with expectation of approval in Ovarian 2H16. That drug's use could go far beyond Ovarian.

Good friends over there on the commercial side and hope the best for all of them - they didn't cause this. Good people. Firing, paying severance, and re-hiring to support a 2H 2016 launch of drug 2 makes zero sense, and though people may leave for their old jobs or better near term roles given the caliber of folks, no chance it's the result of termination. Having worked for many of Clovis' commercial leadership, I'm sure they're fighting like hell for their people.

Lot's of AZ shit talkers on this board. Not surprising.

Obviously you have never run a company. Shareholders and the board don't give a rip about anything but EPS. Right now, it is getting worse by the day. Cost cutting is the only way out to simply survive barring a buyout. Expect the sales force to be cut loose by years end. Not the news you want to hear but sales are dead men walking right now. The sales team hired B players to keep costs low. There are plenty more B players out there to be hired in Q3 2016.

eps. As in earnings per share, yes? You're so fancy - reading investopedia mr CEO. There are no earnings you dumb shit. Great negotiating strategy at M&A table...cut sales team while having no impact on EPS. Then you can't do anything but accept the lowest bid.

Your Phoenix MBA is paying dividends man! You should have seminars. Maximize EPS 101. God you're stupid.

Exactly. You made my point. You must have read the same article as me.

So with no earnings and no product the company should continue to pay the sales force do nothing. Makes perfect sense.

B list sales team...so says the D list sales person. It's funny if you go on AZ boards, you will read a lot of immature, bitter, ridiculously mean comments about how awful AZ is and how leadership sucks, etc. Yet the thing that is glaringly apparent is how you people just sound like little bullies in the schoolyard. Hence the immature adjective.

As we go into the Thanksgiving holiday, I sure hope all you people who have posted sh*t like "RIP" or "bye bye" take a moment and focus on what you should be grateful about instead of focusing on others' misfortunes. Or don't and continue being the d*ck that you are...

More details coming in. Sales will be asked to be at their desk from 8-10 am mountain time on Friday morning. At that point, if you receive a call you will be offered a package of one months severance and cobra for 6 months. If you do not receive a you will be retained until more information is known regarding product approval. Expect 75% of sales force to be let go. Good luck to all.

    aloha clovis..
Sorry for your troubles. It stinks at this time of year. But unfortunately your management really got what they deserved ( well..many of them ).. Their are a few good people too..
The reality is many territory business managers and district as well as regional managers were not the brightest bulbs in the business and fell into the hands of greedy executives.

Why is it that you wish this on anyone? Great human being you are! I know many that went to Clovis taking a risk..good luck to them, I hope it works out for the better....there are companies always looking for good reps.

I am a reliable source, and none of this is true. What is true is how reassuring it is to see such negative, resentful comments by external sales folks on the Clovis message board. You individuals resent Clovis and/or individuals here for a reason. Ironically, that same reason is what's so reassuring. We decided not to hire you because of who you are.

If resent means being out of work in 3 months; then yes we resent you. Thanks for not choosing me.
